I wont go BECAUSE its buckcherry they are opening for.

My boys, the Hoons. Can't wait to see their return up here from touring in the Lower 48. Just got their new album from online. These guys are going to be the next Alaskan band to make it...

I used to go to shows back in high school when they were small time.
Back in 06-08 they were openers consistently when bands like The Riot, Strept, Murder Is Justice, and Korupture were big in AK.
It's good to see them finally come into their own.
I used to be friends with the bassist's sister.

EDIT:
I just watched the video, the drummer, Evan, actually used to drum for The Riot. I might go to the Koots show just to yell, "drum solo!", like old days haha. And try to get the Riot to come back

I've never really been a fan of local music, probably because of the bands in the Midwest were always pricks when I tried to talk to them at shows or what not. Especially the bigger names of the local bands

I first saw the Hoons open for the Presidents of the United States of America back in 2010, and I instantly was hooked on their sound.

They are the most down to Earth band I've ever met. They never gave me the impression that they were above me like my other local band experiences. I've had them play a squadron party for me, and I've went and watched football with Sean (lead singer) at the Peanut Farm.

This new album is great. I can't stop listening to it. I've probably heard these songs 20 times plus live, but hearing it mastered and polished on a record is amazing.

They definitely have what it takes to make it...I just hope that they can find a niche in today's rock scene...which sucks something fierce.

Oh I totally agree with everything you said.
Strept was that way about being "higher" than everyone else, but bands like the Hoons, Riot, and Korupture were always a favorite of mine because of how chill they were, among others.

Nah Purc, you can post here, only OT trolls not allowed! Oh wait. Good choice too, haven't heard Del in forever!

I'm in a missing home on Memorial Day weekend mood today, so I've been blasting some good classics, screw the ahole neighbor upstairs! If he can stomp around drunk at 4AM I can blast American classic rock while he's sleeping in at 1PM!

Saw these guys again last year at the Gorge in George, Washington. They played several cuts off this album.

Been enjoying it the last couple weeks.

These guys set the standard as far as musicianship goes.

Any Rush fans in the house?

Always nice to see this thread pop back up to the top, I keep forgetting about it. That's a pretty heavy rocking song for Rush. lol
