Sorry to hear that Mike, but I think we're all appreciative of your efforts and good intentions with reaching out to the community.

So with it being Aug 15, and also pghmtnbiker's post, is it a confirm that 2013 WRX orders are now being accepted into Subaru's order system? Dealer and I have numbers down on paper but I haven't heard from him so far about placing the order. And I haven't contacted him (yet) for fear as coming off as a pest.

Word is ordering is open at the end of the hour. My order is due to go in at 2PM. I didn't quite hit the $1,100 off mark but I got close. I like them so I didn't push for another $200.

Mike,

Sorry to hear that as well. Information can be like poison, especially when money is changing hands like this. I absolutely appreciate everything you've done to help the NASIOC community become highly educated buyers and encourage fairness.

On the edge of my seat 'til 2PM, anxiously awaiting any word from my dealer.

My dealer (Rafferty) said that getting their hands on a 2013 will be harder then it was when the tsunami and earthquake struck Japan....

Hm, wonder why? Personally I figure the 2013 stands to be a slow year for WRX as a mere carryover of an old platform while many wait for the 14 redesign. That is unless they're having some type of logistical/supply issues. Just the basic logic of an average joe like me... shrug.

Mike, it's because of your help that myself and others were able to research options and be informed buyers. Thank you for your kindness. I hope you didn't get in too much trouble.

Just ordered my 5-door WRX Limited with SPT and STS. First-time Subaru buyer. Pumped. BUT... the system shows an immediate ETA of November. I'm hoping that gets revised, or this is going to be one... longgggggg... wwwwwaaaaaaiiiiiiiiitttttttttttt.

Yeah I am good.

I will have to send PMs to anyone who wants a price from me.

Glad I could help, and I will try and answer any questions I can...or am allowed to answer

Mike

The system does that to be safe. If you expect November and it comes in early you will be happy. Flip it around where they tell you oct but it happens to come in Nov and you will be pissed

SO waited half-past forever for her 2012 and we ordered on the first day. I assume it will be the same this time around as well. Sell my 2004 now and drive my 20 year old Toyota pickup or wait? Hmmm...

True dat! I saw a memo from Subaru about anticipated demand being ridiculous, so I hope you're right, and this is just an "under promise and over deliver" situation. Will post updates.

Not to mention they cut off the order window back in what April? So they really only had the winodw open like 7 months and it's been closed for 4 months for the same car. Pent up demand....

It really changed everything, and it won't be back to normal for at least another year. Subaru really is doing their best to get caught back up.

If everyone who is frustrated that their orders have been so delayed would think about what caused the back up in the first place, and try and take it all in perspective, it may not be so frustrating.

I tried to believe that until I found out other states(northeast) were allocated my exact model/color w/ nav and were not preordered. I talked to someone from each of the dealers and they let me know that they were not ordered or if someone ordered and did not pick up and were available for purchase. Some people in the midwest and west coast got theirs as well even after placing orders after mine.

Well there is truth to it whether you want to believe it or not.

I am not in any way arguing that Subaru is perfect at all, just that this is what caused this massive cluster jam in the first place. They certainly have IT and distribution issues they need to address.

How do you check the status of your order?

Dealer has to do it for you. We checked after placing my order to make sure it had gone through, and it immediately showed up with the November allocation indicated. It was either the "orders" or "allocations" menu. Can't remember.

Hey man, no worries. Your deal stands because it was agreed to before the communist party started censoring me

I will put everything thru as soon as you give me the word good sir!

I want to help but fear that is somehow a violation too

Always just ask your dealer.
