Couldn't tell from original pics, but i was wondering what the ply of silicone was on the gimmick sports turbo inlet? I have seen others claiming five. Supposedly Samco has 4 and works well. Thanks

i just ordered mine with a few other goodies that importimageonline helped me pick out. from all the research ive been doing, (Like 4 hours) it is a 5 ply that it good up to around 30 psi.

GMS or IIO, correct me if im wrong.

and some cases with people running ~430hp applications with an excellent take rate as far as durability...
seems to be a pretty good mod.

GMS is a 5 ply inlet.

if your going to try to use an toyota supra sized 1000 hp turbo, its not going to work ...but they sure work well between stock and 450hp. we have an iwsti member with 430whp on his, no issues!
lifetime warranty...that shows confidence in the products.

howboutthemapplz should have them installed by now...

After waiting a couple months I finally decided to tackle the install of the gimmick inlet. After reading on how the install is and the difficulty I almost decided to sell it.... But I didn't.

The install is pretty straight forward following the instructions a page back. Taking out the stock inlet almost gave me a heart attack, I decided it would be easier to just break every nipple off the stock one with needle nose pliers. Another thing that made it hard was the clamp for the bpv hose on the stock inlet was facing down so I just broke the plastic piece off.

For the white plug with the jumper I just cut the connector off where the jumper pin is located and plugged the white piece back into the connector....instead of pulling the jumper out and taping it up.

I also added an extra clamp on the bpv hose and used zip ties on the other hoses since each connection was kind of stretching the inlet nipples.

I didn't really notice any difference in sound or drive-ability. PSI stayed the same... The only wish I have is that the inlet came with t-bolts.

Here are installed pics with an aem cai.

I don't have the inlet, but I do have the MAF hose, which I purchased from Importimageonline. One thing to point out: It was about the same price as the corrugated plastic piece from Subaru!

My car car came with the SPT SRI on it, I never had the plastic stock part. When I changed out to an APS CAI, I realized I was missing it. I called my local dealer and priced it out, then PM'd IIA and asked how much it would cost to ship the Gimmick hose. Like I said, pretty much the same, either way. So now I have a nice clean looking red silicone hose to match the red CAI for the same price. Performance is important, but don't overlook value. Here's the kicker: Josh got the GMS hose directly to me faster than the dealer could get the plastic stocker to their part department, anyway.

If I upgrade the inlet, there is no question where I will go, or what I will buy. Same for any other hoses.

The only gripe for Nino and Josh is this: There weren't any installation instructions on the MAF tube. I spent 1 1/2 minutes figuring this dang thing out... Almost as bad as the AP Pulley I bought from Josh a few months ago!

Final testing was done last week.

Pullies are at anodizing now. (hard anodizing takes alil longer than the reg stuff)

Hopefully they will be out first week of April with the rad hoses. Then my "no leaky flex" crossovers will be at the end of april I hope.
