Post Thinking about installing breathers

It seems that the valve covers are vented to a common pipe which is visible running right below the intercooler to a single line going to the turbo intake before it goes under the intake manifold to the turbo intake. The crankcase vent from the pcv goes into top of the turbo intake just before it enters the turbo. What I am thinking of doing is pluging these openings and connecting a small K&N filter to these two lines. This should reduce the gunk that can get into the turbo, intercooler, throttle bodies and intake. What do you guys think? Am I missing something?

That's basically the idea although i dont see the point of fitting a filter to the crankcase vent hose as it is blowing all the time (hence PCV, positive crankcase ventilation). I have this vent to air.

I do however have a filter on the rocker hose as this "sucks" during idle and "blows" on boost. I dont bother venting these hoses as it is virtually impossible to find a good location for the catch tank. Even Cusco Oil Catch tank doesnt have a part number/fitting for Subaru.

You can find photos of my can-less breather plumbing at the following url.
