Maybe it's to correct the "gansta" lean towards the right?

The car had four of the same wheels/tires as best I could tell (stoped at a light or two) and was sitting perfectly level.

The rear tracking bar is bent big time. It's pulling the rear "beam" to one side. The shorter the bar, the more right you go. Maybe he tried jacking the car up and it slipped onto the track bar.

You can't tell by looking at the picture, but the car had just turned into traffic at an incredibly high rate of speed. So fast, in fact, that the body nearly slid right off the frame!!

Is that a temp plate in the rear window?!?!

New purchase?

After looking again, only the RR tire is sticking out, the FR seems to be in the correct position. Ummmm

yeah, it's only the rear tracking bar that's bent. my friend did that to his passat (but only by two or three inches..."only"...) by drifting in a parking lot and slamming sideways into the curb around a planter, with the right rear wheel being the point of impact. I was riding shotgun, and it wasn't fun. Nothing like having all the side airbags go off and give you a burn all up your arm, not to mention slamming into your head. And then the gas used to accelerate the bag smells up the car. tons o' fun.
