Do I have These Plugs Reversed?
I've been trying to start my swapped EJ20G for a couple of weeks with no luck. I removed the DW 650s and put the stock 440s back in. Other than the headers, TD05, TBE and CAI, everything else is stock. I've been working with the G4 Plug-in, but no luck. I decided to put the stock ECU and give it a try - no luck. While checking my engine plugs I noticed two plugs are interchangeable. I'm wondering if I have these reversed. I have not tried swapping them for fear of tearing something up. If it looks like I have these reversed, please let me know.
The plug removed has been installed in the open socket. The plug removed has been installed in the open socket. Are these reversed?

Count the number of pins/wires in each one and match the two that have the same number, in the same position. If they both literally IDENTICAL...the chance of something going terribly wrong is pretty low if you swapped them over.
It has been a while since I was poking around in my transplant, and I can't remember those two connectors. |

That's exactly what I did and the way I had them connected looks correct (pin count matches receiving plug connectors). Premature post on my part, it turns out my fuel lines were backwards.

Yep.
I originally had the fuel lines correct, but my in-line gauge showed 10psi after the pump kicked on. I reversed the lines and saw 50-60psi which would taper pretty quickly. It never clicked that I had the lines reversed. The plugs are interchangeable, but the pins don't match so it's pretty hard to screw that up, even for a n00b like me. |
