Yep, can't go wrong with Taylor's or Masters. I've met Chris a couple times through a mutual friend, and I had my Audi taken to Masters when it got hit back in the day. Good work.

You may be powered by 93 octane, but Barry is powered by spaghetti and meatballs!

Actually, only in the evenings on Proffitt, at least for now, until it gets lighter in the morning.

Come April 17th. I'll be taking the Evo as long as it's not still down from motor issues. I'm hoping my head isn't warped and I can just replace the headgasket and go.

Long term? Might try? This fall? Those are all things I'm not happy to see. Get that timing belt done and come April 17th. Even better, the 16th is their driver school/test and tune. I have plenty of driving experience under my belt, but I'll definitely be taking advantage of whatever they have to offer at the school. Hopefully my next rallyx event I'll finally be able to not be the guy who took out the most cones.

Unless you wreck on the way to/from the event, or you mess up in a way that I have never seen happen in the 6 years I've been doing this, you won't have to worry about wrecking.

I'm looking to get into auto-x this year. On the hunt for an older miata to run in stock class.

Hahaha, I was actually bummin around the interwebs lookin for a mildly prepped Miata yesterday. Stockers are a blast to drive, I could imagine one with good suspension would be sick.

They dominate in their class, at least assuming a good driver. The guy that did all the work on my old GTI races endurance miatas as well as auto-x and convinced me it was the way to go. Parts are cheap too, which is a huge plus when racing a 15 year old car.

Bruce's STR prep'd Miata is an absolute blast. But when it comes to autox, why not just run whatever you've got. The most you'll do is put some wear on your tires. The BRR isn't a crazy competitive region, so most of us are out there just to have fun.

Agreed. If I were to invest in a toy Miata it would be with the full intention of doing track days. I feel like autoX is a more laid back, "run what ya brung" type of activity. But that's how it works in my brain
