2009 / 2010 wrx hatchback quad exhaust conversion? ?
Hi all just wondering if anyone has modified the rear bumper on a 09 / 10 wrx hatchback to be able to take the wrx sti quad tip exhaust systems at all.. and what was involved.
And if you can post up some pictures that would be great

Well gee, Lol. Its cause the tips are really small. >_> Go get some bigger tips and it'll look nice. I just got a new axleback. I'll see if i can take some new pics of it sooner or later. Bout to go back to school.

Put some bumper finishers on and that will clean it up. I have been pondering this to as I have an 09 hatch and really like the dual/quad looks and the sound is a bit different from single. What exhaust are you using Kevin? Plus there are more options for the dual/quad exhausts.

Here's my build thread. I had a quad tip custom made to fill out the bumper gap. I think we chatted about it on the 08-10 forum. Used a magnaflow muffler, stock midpipe (no resonator), and 4" tips now. Looks different and tons better.
Here's the build thread so far. Got a few more stuff coming for her. I'll attempt to get some better pics of the new axleback once I'm back in KS. |

I'm doing this soon, but taking a slightly different approach. I'm going to stencil the area, and I bought large hangers so hopefully I won't have huge gaps like OP. I wanted to know if there was a way to slowly heat the edge of the bumper, and curve it under a bit. Anyone know if this would be possible with a heat gun and patience? Just the half inch to the hard cut edge.
