My wife needs a car and we looked at a bunch of hippy hybrid cars like Leaf, Prius, and Insight. But she likes the interior of the Forester so hopefully I can get one before she changes her mind

So how much does a 235 vs. 225 change the speedo?

We need that tire profile calc...

Took delivery of mine tonight. The dealer drove it to my house to pick me up. So it's got 50 miles on it already (from/to/from dealer to my house).

Got 1.9% financing too from my credit union. Can't wait to drive to work tomorrow.

Can anyone comment on the 09-13 XT's vs 14's in acceleration and gas mileage? My parents own a 10 XT and might consider the upgrade seeing as the car gets about 17 mpg. I've heard some people say the 14's feel slow regardless of the new 2.0 DIT. Thanks guys!

Stock size: 225/55-18

235/55-18 = 0.5" taller = 1.6% slower speedo/acceleration
235/50-18 = 0.4" shorter = 1.8% faster speedo/acceleration

245/50-18 = 0.1" shorter = 0.4% faster speedo/acceleration

Nice! I'm jelly. XT? Options?

For those who changed out the stock tires for beefier ones, what size? I agree it needs a wider tire

It's a 2.5i Touring with the HID/Keyless/Eyesite package. It's so much quieter than my 2009 Impreza 5-door.

Yup. It's the most expensive / nicest car I've ever purchased. Luckily my new job has a car allowance that covers most of the cost. Think I'm spending $30/month for it.

Dude that's lame! My biggest fear is getting my car keyed. I can handle breaking parts, getting dinged or scratches, but getting keyed is NOT cool.
