The show isn't open for the public, yet.
It's open only for the press and for people willing to pay more than the normal fair. |

The NEC is the National Exposition Centre in Birmingham, UK. I'll actually be going there for a meeting next month...

Ahhhh, look at those nice little sedan doors. The doors on the coupe are a pain when people are parked close to you. A lot of my passengers have to try closing the door twice too, it must be a little heavier than usual for them.
PS: Where's the shift knob? There is only a carbon fiber nubbin. [This message has been edited by kelley nelson (edited October 18, 2000).] |

Nice colour! Didn't know the dark blue is available for the sedan too. Not in Japan though.
And the rims are nice. |

I dunno, I kinda like the spoiler it has in the above pics. It almost looks like a floating delta wing, & it comes with a clear brake light to match the clear rears. The WRC-style wing on the new WRC car and some other MY02's we've been seeing looks like it was lifted from the old cars & it doesn't match the new design at all, IMO.

Oh, shoot! I didn't notice the rag in that guy's hand. I figured he was a designer or a marketing guy or something. The nice Subaru lady was probably trying to squirm out of that conversation.

Subaru really shot themselves in the leg with this new Impreza It's a bloody econobox! Looks like Hyundai Elantra meets Dodge Neon. No matter what kind of bodykit or wing you put on it, it still reeks of GM... [This message has been edited by 22B_WannaBe (edited October 18, 2000).] |

Note differences from JDM spec model: no aluminum trim pieces, and it's the halogen light cluster (no HID). This looks closer to what we will probably have in the US. Time to source those aluminum trim pieces from Japan -- they look nice!

Say does anyone know if the hood scoop is actually functional on the MY02? Just courious. I could've sworn I caught a glimmer of a turbo as I was glancing through the coutless WRX photos...
Ideas? Opinions? |

Ummm...puff...
That hood scoop is functional because the intercooler sits right under it. So yes, it's functional because the car we are all talking about getting here is the turbo charged one. Welcome to the I-Club by the way. You have much to learn young grasshopper. |

OK where is the all so useful center dash "cabinet"?! It's replaced by some kinda digital console. It better be some boost gauge! Arrghh.... where am I gonna put my kills logbook?!
I like it. The turn lights on the headlight cluster makes it almost look pissed off. "Who you callin' ulgy?!" "Wanna go? Come on!" "I'm waiting.... ok, I'll start in 3rd little WRX wannabes! How's that for handicap?!" Looks good. I'll take mine white. |
