Default Reprogram an AP?

I have a Cobb AP and0. I was wondering if it can be reprogrammed. Its currently set up for my 06 2.5i. I'm selling the car and don't want to have to buy a new one for the STi that I'm going to buy (its going to be a 2011 or '12). Is it possible to have it set up for the STi if I send it to Cobb? Or, do I have to sell what I have and Purchase a new one? It may sound kind of dumb but I DO pinch my pennies and so far its paid off in life. (pun intended

Why don't you just sell the AP with the car like $550 extra and then just thrown down the extra $45 for the new AP?

But Cobb would know more than anyone here so I'd still ask them

It would be a poor business decision on Cobb's part. They want to sell AP's, not update ones that were sold years ago.

While I appreciate your opinion, it still doesn't answer my question.

Looks like you got an answer right there. And honestly, it's the right answer.

Honestly though, if you have the money for a 11 or 12 STI, just sell your current AP and then buy a new one. It'll only be a few hundred dollar hit.

Buying $30k sporty car that takes premium gas and parts... Can't afford an extra 500 (max) for a part.

I swear I saw that they do some sort of trade in program towards a new one. BUt in any case best place to ask a question like that would be Cobb, they have amazing customer service and would be happy to assist you 24/7

Not dumb at all. I do the same and am pleased with the results. However, I do encourage everyone else to spend whenever they can, to bolster the economy and raise my portfolio's value.

COBB did indeed make an AccessPort for the 05-09 2.5i with Manual Transmission. It has been discontinued.
