Default Moment of triupmh.

so i actually have quite the little story to tell. my ej20 sti swapped 94 impreza wagon was stolen in about october of 2012, when i was just kickin it at my homies house playing video games one night. in the eastlake neighborhood in Seattle. my hope was completely gone, i had accepted the fact that my car was more than likely chopped up and sold in pieces to all the sleezebags around my area. i was already saving for a new car.

and then a detective called me about two months later, and said they had recovered my car, in a whole, sort of driving condition and that my car was involved in a big chop shop felony investigation, and they also had the mother****er and were bringing up 18 other charges of grand theft auto and several other robbery charges. needless to say, i just about **** my pants with excitement. this ******* was going to be locked up for a while, no way around it. so i go to get my car back and also needless to say, it's all sorts of molested. this dude bought a bunch of terrible autozone parts like new ****ty fog lights, an alarm that wasn't even installed, HIDs and some other stuff, all of which looked like it was wired by a retarded 7 year old with some headphone wire.so we just tore all that **** out.

i could write a whole other post that would be like an essay just on the **** that this stupid ******* did to my car, and about how me and my buddys have been spending pretty much all of our time when we are off work under the hood fixing and/or undoing and/or replacing things and trying to figure out exactly what the **** he did to my car.

ANYWAYS all that negative stuff being said, i am however much more acquainted with my engine, and justice was served. and my car could have been chopped up much much MUCH worse, which is what i initially expected had happened. i do however think we have narrowed it down to a few different things that are the reason for it running terribly, and i feel that we are pretty close to getting it daily drivable again. all in all, i am extremely glad i have my car back, and if anything, this is just going to be an excuse to slowly rebuild my engine like i wanted to anyways

Congrats! In the midst of the bad news there's at least some good which not many people could say. Overall your car seems to be unmolested and more than salvagable. Only question since it was stolen, do you have to register it as a theft recovery?

If he has to re-title the car then the title will be branded as a recovered theft vehicle

oh and another thing, i found a bunch of random **** in my car too when i got it back. the most interesting of which is a pair of wireless night vision security cameras, and the wireless hub thing. and it worked pleasingly well when we hooked it up to our tv. i'm not sure why i'll need this, but i'm probably going to wire up some stupid unnecessary surveillance for absolutely no good reason, for the hell of it.

Quite a bit actually. Glad to hear you've recovered your car. I'd hate to have my car taken from me.

Real happy to hear you got your ride back! There's nothing like being reunited again. Hope you get her to original status soon.
