Default Blitz FATT DC turbo timer PROBLEMS!!

I installed a tt for my friend today and found that the car would not turn off after the key had been pulled out. I got everything hooked up and the tt turns on and cycles through the different choices (auto tt, manual tt, batt, temp, laps, etc...). The tt works (batt, temp), per se, it just doesn't count down and turn off the car. I'll take the ignition out and the motor will not turn off nor will the tt count down. It stays at the set time. I looked through the instructions and set the tt up as desired using the blitz manual. (manual w/10seconds, turned off the auto feature in both batt and temp). I followed the directions on scoobymods.com for the installation. Could it be due to the unit being faulty? It was purchased brand new.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
