Default Removing airbag steering wheel in AZ

Anyone help me with this one? Can you remove a car with an airbag steering wheel and still be legal in AZ? I just bought a miata (I know...) and it doesn't have tilt steering. Thinking about swaping out the wheel but just want to make sure I would be legal.

Thanks,

Dan

I think it is illegal if it is in good working comdition AKA not blown, but its the same way with catalytic converters: Whos to know it wasnt broken when you replaced it?

it's think it's one of those things that cop can give you crap for, but it's up to him to him he wants to (probably not gonna happen)

you can porbably get a "fix it ticket" where you have a month or so to "fix" it, but all you have to do is take a pic of someone elses sterrring wheel and show it to the judge
