Default Has anyone had a good or bad experience with the Bel Vector 940?

Basically like it says above...

I have read a lot of great reviews, but I want to check with my peeps that I can trust

Thanks in advance!

Jonathan

Guys this is a radar detector just incase you were wondering...

Please let me know what you think. I also have the option of buying the Whistler 1793se if anyone likes or dislikes that one as well (Costco $125 right now )

I pretty thoroughly researched before I bought a Passport 8500 X50 rather than the Vector (or the V1). I've been really happy with it. One reason is that it integrates with the ZR3 Laser Shifter (later when you can afford it).

+1 for V1. And you won't ever have to buy another one because you can just send it in for upgrades.

Ummm what to say than...DUH

I do not purposely try to speed, I just get caught up in driving sometimes or I am not paying attention to speed because like most people I tend to go with the flow of traffic

I like to drive long distances and it looks like the Vector 940 for $140-150 is a great deal compared to $375 for the Passport or $399 for the V1...I am just trying to figure out what makes the others so much better when I have heard the range is similar....

The V1 and Higher end Passports, just have more FORCE then the cheaper/honda radar units... You dont wanna lack FORCE, Do you, Young SkyWalker

I had a 940 and it did just fine. But it went tits up on me about a month after the warranty was up. I replaced it with a 960 which is almost identical, just a few extra features. Haven't been pulled over with either of them (knocks on wood).
