you guys may get a kick out of this... a year ago i sold my wrx on nasioc/craigslist and I just saw it for sale again :-| ... this made me almost cry

http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/3534724678.html

- the original kid who bought it off me apparently took it to the shop because it had a light tick from a cam cap being on backwards...the shop stripped out some head bolts an caused the timing belt to walk off the cam gears.

- He traded it for an ls1 a few months later... this guy who is now selling it for 9,000 has no clue what he has :-| ... i called the guy that is currently selling the car asking if he would want to sell it. I explained what the car all had in it because I spoke with him several months back. Apparently he had comprehended nothing that I told him.... he said his dreams were to build the motor an go rotated :-| The only thing I see different is spray paint and purple rims an some new seats...

- the engine in this car is fully build an i have literally $10,000 worth of receipts or more .... they painted the rims purple painted the tail lights..threw a few stickers on it an slapped sti seats in it an painted the oil cap black :-| thats all they did

That would definitely make me cry man. That really sucks. Obviously the guy didn't know what he had. Man if I would've been the guy that bought it from you, that thing would be my most prized possession.

The local Subaru dealership (in Wichita) has been spamming this ad everywhere...it's a modded TR. I don't know what's worse, their asking price, the terrible, tiny pictures or the total lack of info. I looked at it in person and wasn't particularly impressed...

http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/ctd/3491130745.html

Apparently a 5/6 year old car is worth only 2k under msrp.
