Lightbulb Check out this car comparison....

I put together this comparison with a bunch of cars using information I could find. I threw in a few exotics and economy cars to have a good sample.

I put together a few different columns. Price, HP, Torque, $ / HP, $ / Toque, Weight / HP. And a final column that is essentially power to weight is an order of 4 times more important than cost.
http://home.earthlink.net/~us5zahns/enl/Car.xls

As can be seen in the spreadsheet. The exotics come out on top(as expected) Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche Turbo. The next three cars are the interesting ones. Integra Type R, Celica GT-S and the new Impreza WRX, in that order. Sorry to say but both beat the new WRX in power to weight. Otherwise thought it fairs very well.

The 2.5RS doesn't come out as good. Even the Celica GT beats it. But no other car with a lower price beats it and it's weight/power is better than the Celica GT.

Just thought this would be interesting to some people.

The only thing I couldn't find was a price for a P1 so I used $40K. It may have faired better if the price is lower.

All specs are as gotten from Edmunds.com.

Meaningless. Thats what your comparision is. The WRX will run the GT-S down and give the Type-R a MAJOR handful. The GT-S may have good peak power, but the low and mid range flat sucks leaving it much slower than the numbers. In fact I bet at altitude its much closer to 2.5RS than WRX.
