no you can't.

Has something to do w/ too much oil pressure. It would blow the seals in your turbo.

Summitracing sells them for $30.

part number is FLX-3965. You can also get them in kits.

In case you're curious Subaru uses a M20x1.5 filter thread with a 2.5" bore.

If I can change the subject a bit, how are you gonna get the oil to drain back to the pan if you're mounting the turbo low? Seems like most of us have a tough time getting the oil to find it's way back to the oil pan as it is.

Let me answer everyone's questions
______________________________

Normal Oil flow: Block-> Oil Filter -> Block

Oil Adapter/Cooler kit: Block->Adapter->Cooler->adapter->Oil Filter-> Block

His idea is to put the turbo in place of the cooler. Thus it would flow like this:

Idea 1: Block->Adapter->Turbo->Adapter->Oil Filter->Block

This WILL NOT WORK, because oil pressure is too high, and will blow turbo Seals. Then someone said put a restrictor in like this:

Idea 2: Block->Adapter->Restrictor->Turbo->Adapter->Oil Filter->Block

This WILL NOT WORK. Because now you have just restricted your main oil flow through the filter. This is an AWESOME way to blow up your engine

Hope that helps.

WTF? YES! I am
better than you!

It would be:

Block-Adapter-Restrictor-Turbo-Turbo return line (to pan) and plug the other adapter hole.

BUT ONLY IF you used an adapter like a defi one. (for gauges instead of cooler)
