Default orlando area dealerships, how much?

i live in lake mary ( suburb of orlando) i was wondering what dealerships in the orlando area are best. i live close to bob dance i think it is on 17-92 in sanford, or the subaru dealership in winter park on 17-92 also, any good dealers besides those. what should i expect to pay for a 2002 new white or silver, armrest extension, factory full kit, no spoiler. what should i expect to pay, how much over invoice can i get most down to???

Don't waste your time in Orlando! Hop on I-4 and head to Tampa. Mastro Subaru is the place to buy Subaru's! Ask anyone...

Call and ask for Sean McCarthy in Sales or ask for the owner; Pete Mastro. Either one will treat you the way customers are meant to be treated. Tell 'em Opie sent ya!

I can't disagree with Opie, the folks at Mastro are great.

Don't waste your time at Bob Dance, they S*ck.

I bought my wagon at Bill Bryan, through Roger Belue, [email protected] My experience was great, the price was more than fair. The trick is to shop via the internet, you'll typically be contacting the fleet manager and not some regular sales weenie for the "wait, I have to check with my boss" routine. I haven't had to deal with the service department yet but I did meet Alan, another i-clubber who's a real enthusiast.

Don't waste your time on Classic, the jerk there wouldn't even call me back after I visited and found out they had a wagon in the color I wanted coming. All I wanted was the options list and I was ready to buy, no return call. Duh.

Do all your initial shopping via email. The Subaru web site has a mechanism for contacting the dealers requesting qoutes on the car and options you want. Take your time, meet some of the people you contact and make your own decisions - trust your instincts.

With all that being said, for an enthusiast to be treated as such Mastro is going to be your best bet. You should just be armed with knowledge of a fair price beforehand. Check www.edmunds.com for some good info as well.

YMMV

I live in Orlando and got my WRX from Sean at Mastro. I got a price that I was happy with and it was very easy to deal with them. Also you need to see Bill in parts.

i added urabus13 to my buddy list, thanks i shall try talking to him. im only 17, and honestly look 15 or so. so i stopped by bob dance bout 3-4 months ago, just to have a look in them because i never see them on the road or parked really here. i see a few blue ones, but probably only a few times a week. Meanwhile, the salesmen were all over me, i was just looking around, told em id be there with my dad if i got serious about it and they started haggleing me about when he can come in, and all this crap. I wasnt very impressed with them at first. only went there because its between mine and my girlfriends houses. so if i can do business with bill bryan or the one in tampa that would be nice. im learning what to pay and from what ive been seeing, with the armrest extension, air filtration, rear differential protection and the factory body kit. i should be around 24k, does that sound right?

Stay away from Bob Dance. Someone here recently reported that they charged some kind of fake fee over $100 for bringing outside financing which is illegal and this guy reported it to the State of Florida and got the fee back. They sound like swindlers.

Bought my first car from Bill Bryan. Salesman was OK but their sales manager really sucks a big one! If you go there, do ask for Roger. He is very good. I don't know if they still do it, but in 2000 they send a box of a dozen huge home-baked chocolate chip cookies made by Mrs. Bryan, and they were to DIE for!!

Bought my second one at Mastro and when I returned a year later, they all remembered my family. Good experience all the way around.

PS: Pete, get some cookies from Mrs. Bryan to send your customers. That's the only thing you need to make the deal complete!

In defense of Bob Dance, they gave me a good deal on my car. They gave me 5K on a 96' Contour with manual everything. (Blue Book=$1900). I took the car off the showroom floor.

Of course I will not go there for service because of the stories I have heard about here. Plus I work around the corner from Bill Bryan. Their service dept. was very busy the day I stopped into schedule an oil change. He was able to get me in right then though. So that made me happy. So far so good.

Shop for price but do not forget the service is also very important.

Good Luck.

Even if I didn't know anything about Bob Dance, his commercials with that farty little dog are just too embarrassing!!

It's worth your time to deal with Mastro. I bought my car from Sean and Pete when I lived in Gainesville! A great bunch of guys who are supportive of the i-club folks.
