Default Where to buy KYB AGXs in Canada?

Hi,
Looking for 2004 model KYB AGX shocks in Canada.
Does anyone have any suggestions for dealers with (relatively) competitive pricing with the US?
Thanks for any info/updates!

Where are you located?

FYI if you buy from the US lifetime warranty goes out the door.

e-bay was the cheapest prices by far when I was looking for a set. Except for the used market, which is where I ended up getting mine.

I only know a place in Ottawa. With shipping I doubt it would be cheaper than US..

They retail for about 240 CDN.. He had a group buy with prices sub 200. I think his regular price is around 220 - 230..

You can call and see if he'll ship to you.

There was also a Group Buy on the TSC a while ago.. I don't know where they got them from..

Best price I've seen in Canada was that Group Buy in TO. A set of 4 for 600 or 700 taxes in.

When i bought my AGX's i looked locally first but the prices were crazy high compared to the internet. I ended up getting them for about half price on the internet. I know its nice to support local places, but if there not even close to the price other people can give, then your forced to have to look elsewhere...most of the stuff i get for my car i get off the internet because its so much cheeper. Why exactly are you set on getting them in canada if you dont mind me asking?

This is a good reason. I also wanted to buy locally if there was ever a problem, I don't have to ship them away, just go back to where I bought them.

Crappy Tire. I know I know. But for my last car they had very reasonable prices.

Default AGX's

..............lifetime warranty goes out the door regardless, unless you are the original purchaser, wherever you buy it from, same with Koni,so unless you are intending on keeping the shocks till death do you part, the warranty means absolutely nothing. And for the big difference in price between the net and local suppliers,I'd sooner buy them on line, the difference is at least a couple of hundred bucks. If something does go wrong down the road, for the extra $200 I originally saved,I could replace them with a couple of new ones.I too would like to support local vendors, but for such a huge price difference???especially when our $$$ is so high now,we are almost buying at par, someone is making a huge markup

I would buy them from the US aswell. But I'm looking at the Tokico D-Spec instead.
The markup isn't what makes them so expencive in Canada. The cost is higher then the internet prices in the US. So if they were allowed, Vendor's could save by buying from Online stores.

Why does it seem companies always let their website goto crap?

http://www.oemimport.com/subaru

just gives an error. Nice first impression.

I'm going to go against the grain and suggest you get Koni yellow inserts instead. Any place that sells Koni should be able to get you a set if you give them the part numbers. The guru's in the suspension forum consistantly recommend them over the KYB's. Price will be comparable, and they too have a life time warranty, and can be re-valved. The downside is the little extra work to cut the old struts to put in the inserts.

Any idea where to get part numbers for our cars? Would those of us with inverted struts need to drill or would the Koni's drop right in?
