DTC and DCCD Reset
I need to clear some codes from my DCCD CPU - does anyone know if any software can 'see' it? I have the Tactrix and OBD-2.com cables.

There is a 'procedure' that allows the DCCD position indicators to blink out a trouble code pattern.
Mine shows codes 31 and 37... and doesn't engage the DCCD - leaves it open. I accidentally powered up the car with the DCCD controller unplugged and it hasn't worked since. Here is the procedure from the 2007 Impreza service manual..... 1. WHEN USING THE DIAGNOSIS INDICATOR LIGHT NOTE: Perform steps 4) to 8) below within 30 seconds. 1) Securely apply the parking brake. 2) Switch the center differential control dial in the differential free position. 3) Start the engine. 4) Switch the center differential control dial in the differential lock position. 5) Release the parking brake. 6) Switch the center differential control dial in the differential free position. 7) Securely apply the parking brake. 8) Repeat steps 4) to 7) two more times. just a guess, but it seems the standard 'unplug the neg bat terminal and hold the brake for 30 years' technique should work.
Have you tried it? You could always take off the terminal before bed and then re connect it before work. One word of caution however, you are going to have to use the key to lock the door!! I know, it's crazy.. a key.... We are such a lazy society. That's some great info on the diagnostic procedures you posted up there. Thanks a ton. I'm going to bookmark that **** for sure. -Dominic |

My bad for not closing this thread off.
The issue was 'logging too many paramaters' with Enginuity. Once you get the flashing ABS and lock ring, your DCCD controller goes offline. Disconnecting the battery does fix it. |

How would you run the trouble codes if your DCCD doesn't move out of full rear (and blinking) when the car is started? When the key is in the on position and not started you can go through the dccd settings.

I'm having a similar problem. I have some trouble codes showing up and was wondering if there is any software or procedure that will clear the DCCD ecu codes. I have an Access Port.
I really do not want to spend $100 at the dealership Thanks. |

As long as someone revived a 7+ year old thread...
FreeSSM is the software you need to download. |
