Default WRX brakes on 2000 RS????

Ok, I'm looking for a simple answer but what else is needed to put my stock 2002 WRX front brakes onto my 2000 2.5RS?? I already have new stainless lines, brake pads and rotors, but do I need to use WRX caliper bolts or will the stock RS bolts work? Need the info asap b/c the car is due for state inspection at the end of the month and the brakes are shot! Thanks

All you need for the wrx conversion is the wrx caliper bracket, pads and the rotors.. Everything else is the same. aka, bolts, etc.

I upgraded mine with a 04 wrx setup. I reused my stainless lines.. I switched out the calipers, but upon further inspection, they are exactly the same.

Thanks and what I have available to me is the entire front brake assembly from my WRX b/c I went to a big brake upgrade on that car, so I should be in good shape! Also, the WRX calipers have 15,000 miles on them compared to the 145,000 miles on my current RS brakes. Thanks again!

??? A caliper rebuild is a piece of cake. The kit is about $25 from Subaru and labor is easy. A brake caliper is one of the most basic mechanical systems known to man... Anyone that is even the least mechanically inclined can rebuild them.

i bought the entire wrx brake assy to do the conversion on my RS for 25 dollars a side.
including brackets, bolts, and calipers. i bought cheap slotted rotors on ebay and oem subaru pads
the calipers are not the same, the wrx calipers are significantly larger than the RS calipers. at least they were on my 98.
the entire reason i upgraded was because my calipers seized.

2002 to early 2003 WRX calipers are the same as the RS front calipers(even 98's) mid year 2003 Subaru went with a different supplied(Tokico) and the physical size of the caliper changed. The piston diameter changed and the caliper housing god larger but the pads got smaller.

Basically to be sure, get Pads, Rotors, and Calipers, the brake hoses are all the same
