I was saying it like it is a good thing, which it is. Thanks for confirming.

I find the hill assist really helps in this kind of scenario. I hate it otherwise...but I have had to park uphill a few times and it came in handy. |

I've had my 5 speed for a few months now. Keeping it super clean until one fall day acorns did some damage to the paper thin sheet metal putting little dents (about 9-13) all over.

weathertech floor mats
Anyone have a good pic of waethertech floor mats installed? I have heard conflicting things about whether or not they cover the gas tank lever? Would like to know peoples thoughts....

I don't have a picture but the Weathertech floor liners do not cover the fuel lever. There's another brand of floor liner out there (I don't remember the brand name) which according to other on this forum does cover the fuel lever.

Husky weather beaters cover fuel knob area but they made it in such a way that you can cut it away if you wish plus cheaper than weather tech

I got the Husky liners since they're cheaper but I'm not 100% happy with the material. Fit & coverage I am, but they seem as though they'll be slicker than the OEM all weather mats which have a more rubbery material. My foot has slipped on the OEM mat getting in; will have to be careful with the Husky ones. Has anyone owned both Weathertech & Husky liners at any point to compare material? I'm happy with the Husky ones for the price, just wondering if its worth the additional $ for the Weathertech for future reference.

I owned both the weathertechs and the huskys. They are essentially the same but weathertechs are bit better in terms of the cut but the same. I saved money and bought the huskys and you can cut the gas lever area but I like that no dirt gets in there. I posted pics of both liners a few pages back if you want to see. My advice is save money they so similar it's like splitting hairs but if you want the best of the best in terms of gotta have premium then go with the weathertechs. If you want functional and similar quality then go with huskys. Also husky has life time warranty and weathertechs have ten year.

Installed winter wheels and tires today
I bought my Impreza in June 2012, and within two weeks after buying it I stumbled across a Craigslist ad that I couldn't resist. It was for used 16" Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 tires (with approximately 5000 miles on them), mounted onto old WRX wheels. I bought the set of 4 for $280!
Today was installation day. Here's the Impreza jacked up with the original wheels/tires: And here she is, jacked with the winter wheels/tires installed: And here she is on the ground, ready to rumble: The previous owner of the wheels/tires spray painted them black. It's a pretty amateurish paint job, but it doesn't look bad from 10 feet away. I think the black wheels on a black car look kind of sinister, like the Bat-Mobile. Snow tires on an AWD car--sounds like fun! LET IT SNOW! |

anyone have their car outiside last winter when it was really cold, like -15F or colder? i'm wondering how the 390CCA stock battery does at that temp????
standard CCA's for a group 35 battery (pretty sure we have group 35) is 550CCA, and if I were to buy one I would go for an AGM 800CCA. |

Where can I find that little plastic cover which covers wire going to rear view mirror? Don't really have time to go to dealership. Can I just order it online somewhere?
