sorry about not making it last night guys! I completely forgot about the meet and was about half way through my hps brake pad install when I remembered. Not to mention the ol' wifey had already started dinner anyway, and would have been pissed if I had left. How was the dinner? I have been wanting to try that hickory park sometime. I might try to make marshallbahn this weekend if I can. Anyone got a big helmut for this large noggin to borrow maybe? Like 7 3/8 is my hat size soooo...

I usually have a helmet I can lend out (I have an XXL that I use and a spare XL) but I'm not sure which upcoming races I will attend since I'm just borrowing John's car. If I don't go someone is welcome to bring my helmets anyway.

Most any event I've seen is M2000 or better. From the Mustang club MAM event rules (which are the same for M'bahn):

Snell M2000, M2005, SA2000, SA2005, M2010 or SA2010

They just stopped allowing Snell 95 a few years ago, so I'm guessing the M2000 will be around a teeny bit longer.

PM me if you want 3 free carbon fiber style Rota center caps. The tabs broke on one, and I lost it. I don't like the looks of them so I opted for some different ones for next winter.

I have a medium motorcycle helmet that my girlfriend wears when she rides (hardly ever) with me. It's a Shoei and has Suzuki and GSX-R all over it, but hey it's a helmet. Let me know if you need to borrow it for a day or two.

So, how many on here have their SCCA license?
License and membership are two very different things. Licenses require taking classes for their club racing program and track time. No one on here has a license to my knowledge including myself.

What have I done?! I'll officially be showing up and driving in the Marshallbahn next weekend. Who wants to drive me to Winterset tomorrow night to pick up my new ride? I'll buy you dinner and gas... (NO you can't get in on this Danny). I just bought a Miata tonight. I forgot how much fun they are to drive.

Me? Sorry got it done last night. Man I love me some hawk hpses! Love the way the brakes feel now. Lots more bite and way less noise than the stock pos brembro pads. I'll have to see how much they dust though, but so far I'm in love with the way this car stops again!

Did mine last summer/fall. Super easy, just be careful with the tabs holding the two housings together. I managed to snap a couple Oh well that's what JB weld is for!

Oh and don't touch the reflective shiney internal piece!!!!

I might be able to do that, Nick.

We got the Legacy back together today but it's running on 3 cylinders.

Ug! I don't even know how to fix that or where to start. A fouled plug? I was about to ask earlier today if it was all put together and ready to go

Rob: I'm going to come out on Saturday morning to help out. Kristi: I'll be over sometime on Saturday to drop off the compressor.

It is a Snell/DOT approved helmet, but could not find anywhere on it what year it is...

EDIT: Never mind, found the sticker in there. It is a M2000 with November 2000 build date. Man, over 10 years old...
M2000 or SA2000 are good through the rest of this year via SCCA's website.

$35/year? How'd you get it so cheap? I thought it was like $80 year.

Nick, if you end up looking for Firestoned or Bridgestones, you can get then cheaper locally than on tirerack.

Where at? Does Cottman do tire sales? I'm also not sure I'll really be able to find many places that have ultra high performance summer tires in that small of a size More reason to strap a turbo on the car to run in a modified class.
