Does anyone know how to change shift knob for the legacy?
i dont know how to take the knob out, i cant just twist it out
what can i do ? please........

His car is an '05 Legacy. I haven't seen a manual of those yet so not sure myself....but should just unscrew. Apply a little more force perhaps....or maybe someone with a 5mt '05 Legacy can chime in.

Many people are installing the screw on MOMO from the dealership. Try counter-clockwise.

There you go, turn counter clockwise....just turn it HARD!! You can do it! I've had sticky knobs before (oooo!) and they just need a little more force, even if it feels like it will break.

While I have never actually exchanged my shift knob, might I suggest carefully checking the underside of your existing shift lever knob looking for a hidden set-screw, BEFORE possibly appling too much twisting force ?

subaru factory knobs=threaded with no screws.
