I know my car does well in the winter it proved that the whole drive through Canada just need to save money for a tune and the water Meth kit, also I have heard the horror stories of people crashing alot in the winter that would be devastating to have somebody crash into my car

Why do you need meth? What is done to your car? Lots of people up here drive on 90 without meth. Get a tune and call it good. You own a car with rally in its blood and you're not going to drive it in the winter? Buy a mustang.

I guess I don't need Meth but would like to have it, I had my car on e85 in the states and that is not a option here, as far as parts its nothing crazy mostly bolt ons. And as far as mustang goes I'm not much of an American car guy also my subaru looks way better than a mustang

The better question is why not run meth lol

So many running just pump these days, years back everyone was either on torco or meth tunes.

Well there's your problem its tuned for e85. Personally I love my car even more in the winter. I'm not an American car guy either although a 64 mustang with a 555 block would turn me into jelly.

I am a big fan of meth too but if he said he cant afford it till summer than I say just tune it to 90 till he can.

Welcome to Alaska!

Going from an E85 tune to 90 will be a considerable difference if the E85 tune was even slightly aggressive timing and fuel wise.

If you did have a truly tuned E85 setup then putting just 90 in the tank will cause the car to run very rich and potentially cause issues. E85 requires a considerable amount of additional fuel flow over regular 90.

Your car is able to re-tune the fueling automatically up to 40% in some cases however this would only be for idle and cruising (closed loop mode). Over time it would make some changes to open loop as well but it will never run correctly. You will also get a check engine light for the ECU having to make such massive compensations. When you go under med-heavy throttle it will just go very rich (black smoke, hesitation, etc).

Most local tuning shops could set you up very quickly with a basic tune to get you around until you are ready for something with meth/water or something more performance based.

Again welcome to the group! Great bunch of people around here.
