Default '04 STi on Tanabe GF210 ... problem!

So I've had my GF210s on my car for about 12000 miles with no problems, ride has been decent with nothing else really bothering me. Within the last 1000 miles though, my car has been leaning more to the left side...it's now at quite an extreme angle compared to the other side. On the driver-side of my car, I can barely fit a finger from the top of the fender wall to top of my tire. On the passenger side I can fit 2 or 3 fingers without a problem. When you view the car from the front or rear, it is tilting at a pretty heavy angle to the driver side of the car. Drives completely normal though, not even alignment issues. Any ideas?

Which version of the springs do you have? The 05 version was supposed to fix this problem.

Ummm, I'm a little concerned now as well. I just installed the 04-specific GF210s in my 2004 STi and I'v got a bigger fender gap on the passenger side already..... if this is a common problem then I'm really, really upset.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm looking at the 04 or 05 GF210s to put on my wagon.

Its normal for the passenger side to be higher then the driver side. The car is like this even stock, springs just make it look more pronounced. Its uaually a finer and 1/2 or somewhere between there. However when looking at the car from the front or rear its definitly not noticeable, and thats what sounds odd about your situation.

I had the same problem with the STi pinks on my '04. Dealership told me I had a hyper-extended strut and replaced it 3 times (covered under warranty). It would fix it, temporarily, then it would come back. If it happens to me again (I'm over my 36,000 miles) I might just buy coilovers

Why is it normal for the passenger side to be higher than the driver's side? What's different about the setup on that side?

Instead of fingers, what's the height from ground to the apex of the wheel well on each side in inches?

05's sit a litle higher in the rear. might suit the wagon better. however spring rates are up all around, for the 05 spec, so you might want to consider that as well.
