just FYI,

the new 4cylinder record will soon be announced, and id REALLY like you guys to smash it

local guys teamed up with Ford racing and pushed 6.8 on the quartermile with a ford ecoboost 4banger, today.

their car was being inspected this afternoon, to check if everything is legit about it. If it passes it will set a new world record.

LOL they would need a few 100K to get that record. that's a full tubed chassis with fiberglass body. all highend stuff that would need Subaru to step in with some serious sponsorship money to go down that route!

Would be an epic build that i would subscribe too maybe a BRZ chassis tubbed with some 17.0/34.6-16 in the back

you are right about the full tube chassis part, my bad i didnt take it into consideration that they were competing with modded stock chassis

still i hope that subbie starts teleporting to the finish line soon

Overall 4cyl record is Tony Niemczyk and his 6.608 and mph is 204.XX with his 4g63.

We are shooting for a subaru 4cyl record.

That same Ecotec car also ran a 6.58@211mph. I'm not sure about the "soon to be announced" part, that car ran the old times back in June and the 6.58 in August...

First pass 8.7@164mph!!! 1.58 60ft, car bogged bad... Guess they prepped today.

164mph, through the auto... This thing is making some serious power

We softened it up out the hole since it was spinning a lot last time out. Just going to load up the other map with the more aggressive LC/Boost Strategy out the hole.
