Bryan, next time I pass you near the Hess on Hancock St, I think i'm going to swerve into your lane and lean on the horn so you see me.

That's twice this week when i've seen someone, waved, and got nothing. Apparently the black wheels have completely brought the wagon into "stealth mode".

I've seen a few WRXs and STIs roll by me and I wave "hi" each time, never get a response. I'm starting to think people out here aren't as friendly as those in Hawaii, especially since there's no "aloha" here lol. It's all g though, it's like that back in CA.

Any ideas on where we're meeting tonight?

That whole "jeep wave" thing kinda died out a few years ago as the area became more saturated with wrx/sti's. Way back when the wrx first became available, and you saw another one, it was like an event. It usually garnered an enthusiastic wave from the other person. Now, with all the brotatos and 17 year olds that can get their hands on used ones, they seem to be a dime a dozen sometimes. Therefore, "the wave" somewhat lost its mystique.

The 2 people that I saw, however, are people that I know. Kind of like if you waved to a neighbor in passing, and they didn't see you. Eh, no harm, no foul.

Yeah I understand how it is out here now. Back in Hawaii, most of the WRX/STi drivers were apart of I-Club or we all knew someone who was in I-Club, so waving was just a nice thing to do. People waved at me even while I was driving my EVO X back then.

Are you seriously meeting in Lowell? That's a far drive for a "Quincy" meet, I hope to god you're joking *starts sweating*

wrx_ekim: I live right next to Quincy Shore Dr. I go down Hancock st and Neoponset Ave extension a lot to go to the gym or grocery shopping, that's when I see the WRX/STi's around here

I would meet up but I need to try to fix this leak again.

I muscled it down the 1st and 2nd time and still leaked. This time it's a Subaru gasket so hopefully it seals when I muscle this one down.

I've had people stare at them out here, wondering where they're from. Then they realize it says "Hawaii" and they're amazed. I even had some dude say "is this guy gay or something" because my plates have a rainbow on them... stupid Hawaii and it's "Aloha" rainbow...
