got the car back. they replaced the turbo. the old one was shot. had a lot of play in it and the blades were curled up from bouncing off the housing. luckily it was all in one peice though(no broken blades to fish out). she is running good so far.

is it common for sti's to swap to the wrx 5spd tranny for the longer gearing?

Glad to see your ride is running trouble free. I was planning on running to Savannah again next weekend maybe.

It is not common for a six speed STI to swap to a weaker five speed Rex tranny. the six speed is MUCH stronger although the gearing is fairly short. Rallispec in NJ can swap gears for you and make your STI gearing taller.

Clark Turner is really good. He has been around for a hot minute in the Subie game. Maybe you can rip that Terminator Stang a new one for me.

Maxing out your injectors at stage 2? Wow, you will probably throw some good power to the ground once you get everything dialed in.

Your gonna need more than just a fuel system upgrade, turbo back and tune to kill a cobra.... Unless he sucks at driving.

lol. probably not from a roll. the jump yes he'd probably catch me by 60. but i honestly still havent really seen what this car can do. with all the trouble ive had with it in the beginning im still babying it. i also decided to put the injectors on hold. im still doing the pump as its the first thing that gets taxed. will do the injectors after christmas though. really the only reason im doing those is so i can get a decent map from clark. i just want to be extra carefull with the tune. i logged some data on the way into work this am and will probably do another log this afternoon, id really like to learn how to do the tune's myself or at a minimum be able to make minor adjustments and actually be comfortable with it. but ive been wanting to learn how to tune for over a year now so im going to take this oppurtunity to start learning.
