Looks like a cookie cutter crossover to me . I will keep my 04 xt. 2004, Subaru was still in WRC and Toyota didn't own 16% of the company. When is Subaru's symmetrical awd going to be hitting the Toyota line up?, maybe not soon as Toyota doesn't want to cannibalize Subaru sales. Although, the FT-86 already has the flat four.

haha, my bad, not up on the new BRZ gt-86 thing. I have to admit toyota has shaken things up by their standards with Scions. the xB was different in a pontiac aztec way, the tC was one of those cars you most see women driving, not really different but you know. iQ I'm not sure what to say but I have nothing against econo-boxes.

not to get off topic too much , the forester styling was different when gen1 came out, you either loved it or hated it, I actually wasn't a fan but as after my third subaru, a 94 legacy turbo wagon, I decided to make my fourth subaru a forester.

Why only 250hp, in Japan they're going with 280hp on the same engine It's a pity (( Though i would like to buy it anyway, looks great

Per a well-respected dealership on this forum, Subaru are going to be doing test drives of the '14 Fozzy this year at the Chicago Auto Show, just like they did with the Impreza last year. No XT models, but it's pretty cool to be able to drive a brand new model before it's even in dealerships. My wife wants to check it out, so we're going on Valentine's Day. (Then a nice dinner out, of course.)

They did it for aerodynamics and fuel efficiency reasons. It does matter then.

Looks nothing like the new highlander, other than they are similarly sized and CUV like. If you saw them side by side you would retract that statement.

Japan gets a twin-spool turbo (we don't) and has different regulations. The USDM is down tuned for inconsistent fuel qualities from one part of the country to another and to meet all state EPA regulations.

As a current 05 XT owner, this is the first time in over 5 years that I have considered a newer forester.

Good to know you are considering a newer forester, another automatic forester none the less. As a current 04 XT owner, I am not considering a newer forester.

I still need to see one in person, but based on the reviews I've read I can say this is likely my next vehicular purchase. I hope Subaru runs 0.9% financing on the XT.

Edit: I've only owned manuals for the last 17 years, but driving my coworkers 2012 Outback has sold me on the CVT. I actually liked it a lot, a lot more than an automatic.

was about ready to trade in my '11 outback for the forester xt til i found the towing capacity. but just found out rating system for towing capacity was recently changed so maybe a forester xt is in my future.
