Default Tial Gt3076r Oh Ya!

So thought I'd share my new turbo. The new tial housing is definetely very nice and slim. I'll keep this thread updated as I build the new setup. I'm hoping for 2 weeks depending on what i can get done, etc... For cooling I'll be using a Garrett core and fabbing my own endtanks and intercooler piping. Most likely using a blow-thru setup that me and Ed from Eq Tuning will be testing out with a few different configurations. On to the pics.

I tested that housing extensively. THe AR seems to be smaller then stated. ITs light and its small outer size makes it easy to mount. The V bands are great. I found no additional performance over the Garrett housing on boost onset or power. I lost redline trq and hp over the Garrett housing. I even tested return to boost. My only issue is that it behaved as a smaller then stated AR. This is probably because it is smaller Its a nice piece though and sure looks nice!!

ya, it uses a v-band, Im a big fan of v-bands hence going this route. Thanks for the info clark, hopefully we can get some good numbers out of this thing. After I get this setup all sorted I plan on stepping up to the gt35r with the v-band hopefully. But we'll see what happens. Its definitely light though.

Yeah.. I love V bands.. I v banded my upipe and Downpipe so I can pull the turbo off in a hurry if I need to. They never seem to leak either. I am sure it will make good power!

ya, i think ill v-band from turbo to muffler and header/uppipe connection. its more expensive at first but cheaper in the long run since you dont have gaskets and you dont have to worry about leaks

are there any negatives to the ATP quick-taps instead of drilling for an ntp fitting?

You never know what people are thinking these days, but some people like to run their lines a certain way. So I guess they leave it up the user to decide how they want it. I havent personally used any of the atp quick taps, so i couldnt tell you
