OT Windows Experts: Dual profiles on startup
Google search returned a bizzillion resultes on Dual Boot for OS, which isnt what I want to do, I have one OS and want to keep it that way = )
Anyways I would like to have tow profiels, on that loads a minimal set of programs for when I game, and another that loads all the extra crap so it looks pretty ext for when I am just using the puter for productivity. From what I can tell diabling items in msconfig is global, so just disabling items there wont work. anyone else have any ideas?

Well... I don't even know if it would work/is possible. My thinking is along the lines of how you can install software for a specific user only... for example, you might be able to cut some corners by starting fresh with the OS minimally installed, log in as user A and install the productivity things "for this user only" if you can, then do the same with user B and your gaming stuff. I imagine though that most of your resources are being used by OS stuff that you can't disable on a user-by-user basis.
In other words, I don't have any good ideas. |

What sort of "productivity things" are we talking about here?

multi profiles does not have to use global settings
there is a way to make them different, using user groups or something |
