Nicely done on the calipers! Will you be doing a write up for this as well? What size decals did you go with?
I've been meaning to do something like this for my sti brembos. They look a lot like your before picture hah. Looks like I'm going to try and find a cheap toaster. |

I did end up using the home oven last night to do the final baking... The toaster was too tight for my liking. The smell in the house was pretty bad for a couple hours but it's all gone now. A little fumes in the baked ziti tasted good |

Thanks Cliff,
Hmmmm, no difference so far... I did the pad bedding which took most of the afternoon. The pedal is tight and the pads are silent, which was my biggest concern going with bigger brakes. I have nothing to compare them too though, I never experienced brake fade before and I don't think I ever got my stock calipers hot enough to melt ice, lol. It was just a cosmetic gift for the car, an expensive one but I LOVE the way it fills the wheels. |

That's a very expensive cosmetic upgrade!

Hey man,
Quick question. How's the Q300 so far? I know earlier when you installed it you said it was pretty damn loud. Did the drone eventually mellow out? |

The Q300 still has the drone, it's something that won't go away and for the 5 door owners it's something the is unique to us over the 4 doors. It seems that the way the exhaust is designed for the hatches is what makes the drone worse. I barley notice it anymore but when I have passengers in the car, they do take notice and wonder how I can drive around like that. I wish it was a quiet as the sedans Q300 is inside but it is what it is... I still wouldn't change it to something else yet, I love the way it sounds too much. Though I heard that you can quiet it down by sound deadening the trunk and wrapping the piping, I just doesn't bother me enough anymore to do that. Cheers! - Jason |

Thanks, I'm loving the color, a slight difference from the Brembo Gold but I feel they blend so much better with the wheel combo! Haha, always here to help |

So jealous of bremboes. Good thing I can't afford 1k in brakes right now or else I'd be all over some off of ebay

Thanks Colin, it's a nice change from the German world of Audi/VW but I'm getting used to it!
Hey Zach, they are quite sexy but useless if you don't need them. I'm just about to close on my new house in 4 weeks so this may be the last big mod for a while. I still have to finish the rears this weekend and then we'll see whats next! |
