Holy crapola, insanely bright, nice job! Surprisingly cheap, install doesn't look fun though. How bad was the back install?

This light is what you need in BAD weather, Especially in thick fog and mist, this light would cut through all of it.

The web has these JDM kits for about $152 shipped from JAPAN or if you do not want to wait you can order it for $200 from the California Subaru dealer in El Cajon, CA It's too bad we can't do a group buy and get a lot of 20 to bring the price down. I strongly suggest getting the socket and harness, to make it a bit easier on the install. Last edited by ZURCALED12; 04-04-2013 at 01:21 PM. Reason: Spelling error |

You can easily do that with a two contact bulb and socket. But you would have to run your own wiring and not use the harness that comes in the kit. It would not be hard at all, just some wiring up!

easy install , some wiring of the relay and you are done.

Pre-drilled hole behind grommet/cap. This is the other side of the wheel well, behind the bumper cover, and no you do not have to remove the bumper cover either. This is the rubber grommet that comes with the harness, you are going push it through the hole where you removed the other grommet/cap from. Last edited by ZURCALED12; 04-02-2013 at 10:26 PM. |

That looks great, but I am wondering with a different bulb could the output be less bright?
I would seriously consider this modification if the price was around the same it is to convert the reflectors into lights, but at this price I'd rather get the hitch that fits in that space instead. Especially since its about the same price. But thanks for posting this information, it's appreciated! |

Was a new panel piece/switch cover thing necessary? I assumed the slot on the stock panel would just knock out for the new switch.
Also, the wires that connect to the back of the switch, is that the small gray harness clip thats visible in my fuse box? Stock set up - not attached to anything. |

A few questions on this switch:
1. How are you connecting it to the relay and fog light? Did you get the plug somewhere, or are you just direct connecting it to the wiring? 2. Does it light up? If not, you have no indication the rear fog is on. 3. Did you wire it to the parking light or front fog circuit? You wouldn't want it on unless you have other lights on as well. 4. Do you really need the relay? A 21W bulb is only going to pull about 1.75A. Thanks, Michael Last edited by mrdirosa; 03-11-2014 at 01:52 AM. |

Look at my write up post I show you which wire to use you need the relay cause the wire from the switch has a ground, also it's grounded even without the key in the ignition.

Zurcaled, Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to adapt your layout to a 2015 STi. I have the fog light assembly installed already. However, I don't want to use it as an additional brake light, I want to use it as intended... A rear fog. I tried to drop you an email but got an error. Do you have another email? Any help you may provide me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
