Default Wrx mufflers on 2.5i

Can any experts help me out by letting me know if 2009 wrx mufflers would fit on a 2.5i impreza without any customization? Just looking for a more appealing look (not concerned too much with sound) maybe just the axleback setup. Im a new owner not fully familiar with the car just yet, thanks forum.

If it can help...

When I had my 07 WRX, I swapped the stock exhaust for an 04 STI exhaust, it did change the sound nicey. I gave my stock exhaust to my brother's 06 2.5 and it also gave it a different sound.

Both fitted perfectly.

That's because for 02-07's nearly ANYTHING was interchangeable. Sadly the 08+'s are not nearly the same.

From the outside looking in, it seems it will bolt up, I mean if I get from the same year wrx, its has the dual tip which im not sure it will fit into the bumper openings without changing anything else or cutting

the axleback/catback will fit by bolting up at the exhaust flange. They run literally identical piping lines just slightly larger diameter...Should be a simple bolt on.

No Sedans have them. But for the hatch as seen in the picture of the white car, there's no cut out on the left

11+ Wrx/STI hatch and sedans have dual tips on both sides of the bumper. The only way to get a dual tip for a 08-10 hatchback is to get an aftermarket one. If you are a sedan than you have more options.

I just realized this comment, I do have a 09 sedan, wondering if I could use a wrx/sti muffler w/ dual tips from any newer years

Just go aftermarket and you will be happier overall in my opinion. You can find some that are relatively cheap and are not to loud over stock.
Checkout rallysportdirect.com for reference.
