Thanks Slim! I was not too surprised from how she feels, this and 3900-7600 is the meat of my power curve so it pulls hard there! I bet it helps to get a little run at it like starting from 2500 or so like I did on this pull. Junior backed off the boost a little bit from the dyno tuning session so that's why I'm only making 25 psi on this pull in 3rd. I make around 26ish in 4th. My car's not very light either it's a Limited with the big azz sun roof, heated leather seats and I've sound insulated most of the car.

very nice man...holdin it down for the FXT's

I finally started switching mine over to stage 2 on E85 last week. It is intercooler limited to 17psi right now (too scared to push any further on the plastic end tanks). It is definitely a torquey SOB with that TD04 on there even with just 17psi. I was literally home for a week before I got sent back out of state again, so...once I get back, I am going to finish up the tune hopefully and get a 50-100 video uploaded.

Very cool! I didn't go E85 until last year.

I have a bunch of take off stuff I'm going to put up for sale on here. STI TMIC, VF48, Cobb SF SRI, GMS TIH, GS PnP'd stockers and more. Let me know if you would like any of it. PM me and we can discuss. The TMIC has a Y pipe, stock BPV, silicone elbow, ready to go!!

Unfortunately, because of the redesign for the 09, the parts that I would want (tmic and intake) won't fit. I have to have either 08+ wrx or 05+ lgt parts in order for them to work. There are a few parts that fit from other models, but for the most part engine wise, I am limited to those models only. Really appreciate the heads up. If I come across anyone looking for parts I will send them your way .

I forgot you bought an 09. I think if you swapped in the VF48, then you could go with the STI top mount. Not sure what TMIC brackets you have though?

Thanks I'll get them posted up this week, all in good shape, I have good photos of all of it as well!

Doesn't the 09+ have the VF40, not the Td04's right or are they a Td04 with the flanged comp outlet?

this is a statement only accurate when talking about big turbos and small engines. Small turbos on smaller engines or medium turbos on larger engines will give plenty of boost at a low enough rpm to be useful in a corner.

I ran a log on 4/2/13 and posted a VD graph of it on my thread. I decided to VD graph just the 50-100 mph portion of the log based on my MFactory gear calculations for speed/ rpm's/ gear's. Here is a link to the full pull VD graph.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...2480570&page=3

Here is my 50-100 mph time based on this portion of the 3rd gear log.

You graph is missing y-axis labels. Haha. Are you really only getting 3 data points per second? That data rate would explain why your VD plot is overly smooth at Smoothing=1. They should really never be that smooth unless you're at a way higher smoothing. You need more data for a good VD or 50-100 based on a log.

I'm not doubting it, I'm just saying it's hard to be accurate with that few data points. You should try it when only logging time, RPM, boost and vehicle speed (unless your calculating that anyways). You should get a lot more points and a lot more accurate graphs. For VD it should really be a 4th gear plot (mine usually look super smooth like that in 3rd gear too, because it goes by too quick to get enough points). Or grab a speedo vid. I like those better anyways

Also, your gearing and powerband is the reason no one else uses 50-100, lol. It helps the time a lot only using 1 gear (assuming you're making reasonable power the whole time). I just picked this range because it's easy to hit in a sub-250WHP car. 60-130 is not feasible for most people on stock or Stage 2 power. But on a larger turbo it's a much better measure than 50-100. My last setup and current setup are the same way (3rd gear pulls all in one gear are the fastest 50-100mph). With the right powerband it is close to 1/2 second faster than with 1 shift and nearly 1 full second faster that people who shift twice.

Thanks for the points for concern, noted! The graph time/ rpm is exactly how VD output it no y-axis label. The 50-100 aspect of the VD graph is a time to rpm relationship and has no real bearing to the dyno aspect, really! More data points will give a more accurate look but probably not change to overall time that much. I agree with you on the data points per second and after reading the VD thread that Juan linked, I looked at why mine is so smooth at 1. I need to reset my data-log parameters and set the minimum number so the log will sample at a faster rate. This will definitely help the accuracy but I think I am pretty close to that time. My parameters were set to record data needed for tuning not what I used it for here, I just pulled it off a log that I had already. I'm not too concerned with this 50-100 time but it was fun to look at.

I really think the speedo thing is inaccurate with angle of view and vagueness of an analog speedometer! It's no more accurate than what I sampled and probably less accurate!

I think a better method would be to video a GPS set up on a digital speedometer view. Of course a V-Box is the best but I really can't believe that no one has developed a good app for the iPhone or android to log time to speed and better yet to be able to log the time to a speed range that you could select.

My power band and gearing like yours is pretty broad and is conducive to less or no shifts with this stuff like this. That is the type of power band I was after with my build and why I run such tall tires! I do understand why you've picked the 50-100 time with the Subaru community, it allows most everyone to get into the game!!

I may do another 50-100 pull sometime but not sure when, I really need to behave behind the wheel!

What disappointing news today about the bombing at the Boston Marathon, very sad for sure!

dynolicious?...

A V-box is to expensive, best price I found so far 550... If I could get it for 400 I will buy one.

I agree on the V-Box price, just too steep! Someone needs to design a V-Box type app for our GPS enabled smart phones.

I've downloaded most all of the free ones for the iPhone, dynobox, dynolicious, gps speed, speedbox speed tracker and they all are lacking!

Yeah, a cheap, high data rate GPS logger would solve a lot of problems. I agree that speedo vids aren't any more accurate (other than the higher "data" rate), but they're more fun to look at!

I didn't realize that plot was from VD. I think that's a feature that may be in development. I'd just throw it into Excel and plot out the relevant things. Just put RPM on the secondary axis and it should all scale pretty well.

VD plots with more data points and/or in 4th gear would be interesting to see. In 3rd gear my car consistently shows 600WHP at 30psi with power flat or increasing to 8k. In 4th there is a bit more resolution and it always shows a little drop in power up top.

I just spend some money on some goodies... I will let you know when I am ready. I need to get some kind of speedo for sure because my speedo doesn't work since I swapped a 2011 STi trans
