My vag isn't on fire, but I hope Kubiak's is.

I came into the season seeing the players they had and the schemes they were running and thought that even though the secondary blew goats, we had a mean run defense, and in the red zone we were a capable defense. the whole bend don't break mentality.

The offense got stronger with a league leading running back, and a capable QB, the best WR in the game right now, and decent receivers around him, not to mention some great TEs.

Unfortunately DeMeco Ryans got injured, he was the leader of the defense, set up plays, read the offense and made calls on the line. Our run defense suffered greatly, as well as our red zone defense. We went from a bend don't break defense to a let them score quick so we can rest defense.

That doesn't explain why the offense is completely ineffective, they have more capable weapons than they've had in the past, and now they are more ineffective than they've been in the past.

After every loss Kubiak has been taking the blame himself, never saying people need to play to their potential; well, I'd like to see something happen, if that truly is the case. This team needs a new leader.

Cowher has said that if the right set of opportunities presented themselves he'd return to coaching, is it a possibility? There's a lot of teams right now that are vying for a head coach come the off-season, I hope the Texans are one of those teams.

My head tells me that we're going to see Kubiak for another year though, and that if Cowher returns, it won't be here. I just hope it isn't the Cowboys, I like him and think he's a great coach, I'd not like to have to hate him for being a Cowboy.

Everyone keeps saying that lockouts will keep big moves and coaching moves from happening. I hope they are wrong. The Texans need Cowher. He would clean house and want alot of control. I bet alot of people would go to games next year if he was there regardless of wins/losses. Next year I think we will see McNair losing seats if the status quo is maintained.....

With the Cowboys finishing last in the division they should have an easy schedule next year...

Same for the Texans but that doesn't explain why they haven't gotten better?

I hear you! They are bitching about how the owners make too much. I mean they are the ones that stood to lose the most in the beginning. You want a lot of money you gotta gamble with what you've got. Start your own business.

I do see that 20$ pizza and 10$ beers is a little over the top. Especially when there is 75$ to park and 40$ won't even get you a seat. Along with the city helps pay for a lot of the cost to build your stadium?!?!?!

Of course you're not required to pay for that stupid priced beer and then they only offer Miller product. As for parking I get my money back. I parked near I-30 in that shopping area where Best Buy is at. I paid $40 for a gift card everytime and then use it for whatever later. I parked at Colters BBQ on Thanksgiving and used the gift cards to eat before the game vs Eagles and after the game vs Redskins.

But yeah, the players bitching about the owners getting the money, well who is paying you? They got to get that money somewhere. I understand them wanting money to be paid into a retirement fund to pay for injuries and stuff like that, but the amount they are getting paid is ridiculous.

Hey they're all not millionaires! They're sticking up for the ones who only make $350-500k, like lineman and 2nd stringers . Poor guys, I couldn't imagine having to get by on a measly $350k I mean come on, you would be forced to choose between either a Escalade or a Denali, instead of just having both. Heck if you've got family to support or mouths to feed, you might even have to settle for a Toyota Sequoia

For some of these guys that **** gotta last them their whole life. Try paying for expensive operations after having your body torn up year after year in college and 1-3 years in the NFL. I bet most of you weren't even college athletes. Your body wont last as long in ways compared to everyday people.

I cage fought for 2-3 years while in college and trained MMA for 5 years. Last year I spent almost 3,000 dollars in medical bills and physical therapy. Thats with insurance. For 2010 I got laid off in May and I had no insurance for the last 6 months and I have been struggling more so.

Athletes pay a price with their bodies in the end. Maybe not all but almost all of them. Knee surgery/replacements, concussion after effects, tendonitis, back pain, neck problems, etc..

Dont assume they all make millions like Yoo Shin pointed out. The Denver Bronco Kenny McKinley, that committed suicide a few months back, was the son of my dad's best friend. He was going to end up cut and his knees had been operated on twice. He was making 250K a year. He should have never given up but for many of these guys this is all they have. They wont be on ESPN as analysts after they finish playing.

Just to be clear I don't think someone like Jamarcus Russell should get 15-30 million before taking a snap in a game either, and owners cannot keep making . Their system needs balance and fairness because alot of guys are getting screwed out of their share of a multi billion dollar organization.

Just saying but you have to go to college to go into the NFL. So if they would finish college instead of chasing the money they would have something to fall back on. Then they could use the money they made in the pros to help them get started....

If you look at any company the owner makes most of the money. Look at ANY CEO! Its the nature of the business. For those of you who didnt see Jerry Jones on 60 minutes. When he bought the Cowboys for 125 million dollars the organization was losing 1 million dollars a month. He took that risk and could have been wiped out. Now you tell me why he doesnt deserve the money he makes?? He turned it into a multi billion dollar company not some practice squad guy that didnt manage his money right.

Just because the rest of us have stagnant salaries that have not completely adjusted to inflation does not mean that they should have to do that either.

All this is relative. If you could only be a computer programmer for 1-5 years due to the hazards of the job, you would not want to be paid 80-150,000 dollars a year. You would want 500,000-X,000,000 dollars per year too.

Some of you just don't get it. Bernard Pollard for example has to have other teamates help him get dressed after a game due to the pain he is in from hitting people on the field. I gurantee you by the time he is 40-50 he probably won't be able to do any kind of manual labor for a living, unless he mismanages his money.

Hell even I have trouble making it through a 8 hour work day with the back and neck pain and I work at a computer all day long.

These guys gotta raise their families, send their kids to college, and be able to afford the medical expenses needed to stay in decent health with all they made.

The NFL is the hottest **** in America right now. Just because we let CEOs/Wall Street rape us in the ass, doesn't mean they have to settle for that. Most of us are just flat out envyous of their money, thinking that because they are enteraining us with a "game", that we forget this is a JOB. It's a ton of work!

I bet most of you, if not now already through inheritances, will have at least 1-1.5 million at 55-60 years old. Quite a few of these guys won't earn that much in their careers, especially the practice squaders that you think make tons of money.

With your logic should oil rig workers make the money they make? What about contractors in Iraq and Afganistan? They don't pay much in taxes either. No risk no reward right?

No one wants a strike to interrupt football but be reasonable...

So because someone has elected to get into a profession where he knows he's going to have four hundred pound two-legged land masses hitting him for about three hours every week for four months out of the year, he deserves fifty million dollars and profit sharing?

****. That. Bull****.

I get punched in the face by a crazy person at least one a month with about ten more attempts during that time period, and I get paid **** all for it.

I don't feel sorry for professional athletes who claim they're underpaid at all. The argument that they should get paid more to possibly get injured is ****ing retarded. They PLAY A GODDAMN GAME FOR A LIVING. People play that game for years starting when they're kids because they like it. Not because they all expect millions of dollars.

If someone can get paid ten million a year for pushing a fat guy around a field a few months out of the year doesn't mean that they should. That money should go to teachers, firefights, cops, EMS workers, and soldiers.

You know, people that actually deserve it.
