This isnt exactly what you are asking but I thought I'd throw in my $.02 anyway. I didnt stay at Cobb Stg. 1 long enough
to get a feel for gas milage with it. But I can tell you Stg. 2 has been very good to me lately as far as gas milage. I have been averaging 25mpg w mixed driving and flirting with 30 mpg on long road trips. My car never got any better than 22mpg when it was new. I feel your pain, gas prices around here suck.

I regularly saw returns of 24-26.5 city and 27-30 highway at Stage 1.

This was a slight improvement over stock. However, the improvement in drivability and smoothness would've been worth a 2mpg hit! The AP really makes a difference.

The first 250 miles on stage 2 and it was roughly 22-23 mpg.
Stage one i'm not exactly sure, my best with econo mode map was almost 28.
It really really really depends on where you shift and what RPM range you cruise at on the highway. I try to shift around 3 or less in city driving and set my cruise around 78 which is just under 3k, if I'm going for an econo mindset. I havent tried econo mode map with stage 2, not sure if i'll ever bother.

You will get about the same to ever so slightly better with EM. The only thing that will hurt your mileage is that you'll use the go fast pedal more often.

Its looking like the 2.5 sucks a little more gas than the 2.0, oh well if I wanted good gas mileage I would have bought a Prius and drove it in pride parades

oh yea, 86 Honda CRX SI = 45mpg CRX>Prius

At stage two I was getting 24-25 mpg. Then unmarried the AP for about a week hoping to get better gas mileage. It was a big no no, I started getting far worst mpg like 20 mpg. But with the new setup I'm on its more like gpm(gallons per mile)

edit: This was all on 93 octane gas

I have found Driving habits play a big part in getting good milage once you have EM. W/stage 2 I pull more vacuum going down the highway because the engine can breathe better and the timing is more aggressive. That being said, its very tough to stay out of boost when drivng around town. I have found that tipping the throttle in slowly and allowing the engine to rev to between 3000-4000 rpms before I shift will keep the engine out of boost and well in vacuum. This keeps the AFR's from going rich and helps keep tip in enrichment to a minimum. Verified this Messing around with my buddys wideband O2 sensor a while back. I have a fairly long commute so I am always looking for something to occupy my time
