Hey everybody! I work in Hagerstown and we have a good group of subies at my work. I have a Red hatch STi and there are two guys with 13 SWP hatches along with a guy in an 04 WRB Sti. My buddies with the SWP hatches went to one of the Saturday meets at the mall and said it there was a good turn out.

I see a lot of subaru's in the area so I'm curious what's going on. I live in Walkersville and commute to H-Town. I'd totally be down for a cruise/ meet. We always talk about organizing something with the Subies at work.

We'll I am sick of organizing this stuff! Lol... I don't know the roads in Hagerstown area enough to organize the cruise aspect of it. Up my way has amazing roads but that turns into a hell of a drive for you guys by the time you get back home.

I feel your pain, hence we always talk about meets and cruises at work, but no one wants to organize it. We did the downtown Hagerstown car show last week (I didn't put my car in, but friends had their WRX's in). That's the extent of it thus far. We have talked about meeting up for the Saturday mall car show sometime before they are over for the year.

Sigh...... Fine I'll do it!!!! I'll find some sort of route. Although I don't know the area I'll wander the backroads until I get lost or find something cool. I told you man, Frederick county has thee best routes and it would just be easier to do it there, but again comes the issue of it being to far for you and guys out your way but not for us. It seems to just be a lose/lose situation. I hate Hagersbush.

There was a downtown show? See,we can't attend these things if no one tells the rest of us. I had no idea,I was at the last show of the year at the mall though. Turn out was sad because everyone was at the final race day at 75&80.

I think a good route would be 64 to 77. 77 is what I take everyday and its gorgeous. We talked about doing that cruise to the park entrance, then go up to a picnic site to stop and hang out. The roads are twisty and 35mph in the catoctin mountain park, but totally fun. I'll look more into the park and find info.

If you don't want to stop there, you can continue to Thurmont, take a little more twist back roads to 15S. That will take us to Frederick and we can find a place to stop there. Then everyone can leave from there back to H-town, Frederick, etc.

I will totally help you out. I'm not super familiar with areas, but will help set this up with you.

I may have passed you a few times, PA ave right? Do you have black wheels? I travel that route daily and always exchange waves/pass a white hatch everyday at 5. I assume he works out there somewhere. If you see a blue bugeye with yellow fogs and STI wing that's definitely me, I have the only WRB bug in town with that look.

Yeah but where? You figure as country as the town is there definitely has to be something. There are back roads but nothing scenic to look at.

I don't have black wheels. I have a Red Hatch with HT Autos Lip kit, Yellow Fogs, Tint and OEM Rain visors, other than that, the car exterior is stock. I did do a DIY that has my Fogs and DIY's on which I am certain I am the only GR hatch in my area with that (all yellow bulbs).

I always wave as well and usually see a lot of Subie's when I drive through downtown (sometimes the only reason I go through there on my way home)

Sounds nice if I'm picturing it correctly. I can almost guarantee we have passed each other at some point with the frequency that I travel that area

Agreed! I've seen several bugeyes and pretty sure I remember yellow fogs on one.

I'm not sure if anyone is up for it, but the Skyline Drive cruise is the 19th.....that would be a cool event for fall. I might be up for doing that if I'm free.

I'm busy this weekend, next weekend, but free the weekend of the 19th (as far as I know). Whatever we do, maybe we can start with that weekend and try to put a plan together. It doesn't have to be massive for the first one, but it will just be nice to hang out and meet everyone.

You may have a hard time convincing people to go out to Skyline. That's probably out of the way for the majority here.

It sure is.....I was going to do it with my work friend during the summer but it was to far for me. He has some NOVA buddies, so he went out. It was an ALL day event.

We can do a mini cruise, lol but keep it local. As we uncover more back roads and meet people who suggest areas, the meets/etc. will be better.

Do we have a Facebook page? Maybe we should start one.

I don't think it will get any better than it already is ,we have been at it for a few years now averaging 2-3 meets per year lol. The facebook thing has already been done.
