I am not aware of the AVIC-X9310BT. But the Limited Package model in Canada has the AVH-p3300BT, which is what i am using and is iso standard Double Din. The radio bezel is different and of iso double din size, you still have a transition face plate, but look is natural and aesthetic. I believing seeing a picture of it in the feature section of the impreza on subaru.ca. Sure hope you can get this from somewhere.

Here's the picture on Subaru Canada's site:
That dash kit could be available as a repair part from Subaru in Canada. Worth asking.

Here's the Pioneer AVH-P3300BT from Pioneer's site:

Has anyone purchased the "UPGRADED" speakers? And or the Subwoofer? I am curious about this upgrade, I am already ditching the OEM head unit with the Pioneer.

Let me look for those YouTube video links featuring the AVIC-X9310BT for the Canada Version of the Impreza. Here is part 1 of 4

WOW! thanks! I love this club! The information we dig up for each other is priceless! Thanks a lot guys, Now to source out a CANADA dealer and see if that bezel is available, I had another dealer look into the mirrors and the OEM back up camera, which happens to be a PIONEER CAMERA too.

Metra plug 70-7552 works on my 2009 Impreza 2.5i. Check with a radio installer for

the correct plug for a 2012. My plug cost $12.

Based on what I read, the AVH-P3300BT is standard in the canadian limited 5dr. The center dash trim appears to be different than ours. The entire center dash vent/radio bezel would need to be replaced imo. I am interested to see if it is available also.

Unless you're talking about something subtle, the center dash in US and Canadian Imprezas look the same to me. Pictures:

2012 WRX and STI are unchanged from 2011.

A few weeks ago, I asked Japan Parts if there was a JDM A/V panel for 2012, like the one Subaru has for 2008-2011. They said no -- there's only a piece with the smaller 7" opening that fits on top of the stock bezel. :yuck:

The picture I posted earlier of the Pioneer in a Canadian Impreza looks like a trim piece similar to the Metra and Scosche parts for 2008-2011. I think that's the best you're going to get for 2012 (and what I'm guessing will be the dash coming soon for 2013 WRX and STI). Or hazmat's and ashio's hack.

2012 models except those with OEM nav still use the same 20-pin plug. But if your wheel has audio SWCs (or you would like to add them), you'll want my harness that includes the extra SWC wires.

The OEM nav made by Fujitsu Ten has completely different harnesses. See this thread: 2012 STI Stereo Build with OEM NAV H/U

I've heard that some models still have the OEM Kenwood Navi HU. Wiring is the same as that HU used in previous years.

Those photos above are for the non-limited edition.

Folks, the entire oem radio/hvac bezel/dash is exactly the same as you will find in the US or Canadian version of the non-limited model and limited model respectively.

But because up here (Canada) the limited model used AVH-p3300BT, which is ISO double din, it will have another bezel for transition from the limited oem dash down to the ISO double din size. Same function as the Metra dash kit, only so much better for look.

As well for the look, the limited version of oem radio/hvac bezel/dash will block more light for a better visibility of screen.

I will be checking with the dealer if there is a repair part for this.

I confused on how you hook up the parking brake wire. As in how do you get that material wrapped around the e-brake off? Also has anyone put a sub in the car yet? I am having trouble finding a spot to run the power for the amp from the battery into the car. Has anyone found a good spot to run it through?

You are suppose to tap into the car supply side e-brake wire before it going into the e-brake switch terminal. My pioneer HU unit comes with a long e-brake lead that has a round wire clip that supposely clip and latch right onto the car e-brake wire - it will slice through insulation and make a conctact with the copper inside.

However, there won't be enough room on the car e-brake wire in this car. I ended up taking another wire - insert one end and tap it into where the the car e-brake wire made contact with the e-brake switch terminal. run this wire back and out to under the dash and join the connection with the HU's e-brake lead there. This also make it easy just in case we may want to put a switch to enable/disable e-brake bypass.

Power for the Amp. I imagine the 12V Cigar outlet inside the console storage box which is the easiest to take out.

Pic of the driver side linkage
these two linkages are the key to getting the dash panel out easily and without doing any harm.
The passenger side linkage is hidden by the glove box, so remove that first to get to the linkage.
The driver's side linkage is a bit uncomfortable to get to, but doable and is up against the console above the pedals.
Again, remove these first and your experience will be much smoother. A plastic spudger tool ($5 from amazon or autozone if you can find it) does wonders in getting the dash started coming apart.
Work it along the top of the console from left to right and by the time you get all the way to the right you should have a gap there that you can grab onto and pull out relatively easily. There's a plug for the hazard flashers and a couple plugs for the rear defroster/ac/recirc at the bottom that need to be removed as well.

If anyone could explain more how to unhook the 3 manual ac and heat buttons that would be great. I have the two white locks off (the drivers side one and the passengers side one) and the the emergency light unhooked. The top of the dash is off but I can't get the bottom off because of those 3 buttons (ac and heat buttons).

pull the bottom of the dash out (if you haven't already) and feel around underneath it. There are two electrical connections on the bottom, one is right in the center and the other is towards the passenger side. if the mechanical links are off then you should have zero issue pulling the dash off.

The bottom can be kind of tricky, you kind of have to pull up and out to get it. If you have a plastic wedge that can be really helpful if you run it along the bottom to loosen the clips.. they're a pain the first time coming out.

I find that the screen is easily washed out during the day..
Took some pictures of the HU.. if needed, I can take more when it's light out.

you've got the bottom of it started, you just need to work it free enough that you can get your fingers under there. Pull up and out and they should work free pretty easily.

Default Help please!

I just bought a Subaru Impreza 2012 2.0i Sedan. I am trying to upgrade the head unit and all four speakers and I don't know what I need to do so. The head unit that I purchased is the Alpine CDE-103BT. The speakers I purchased are the Alpine Sps-610 6.5" for the front and Alpine Sps-510 5.25" for the back. How do I go about installing the head unit and connecting the speakers? All help is greatly appreciated! If anyone can provide links on what needs to be purchased, that would be fantastic. Thanks a lot!
