Anyways, as for the difference in handling going from 17s to 18s I haven't notice too much difference, actually the biggest difference I've notice is the reduction in noise with the new tires.

The offset on the wheels are 45mm and its not lowered. The 235/45 tires I have on it fill out the wheel wells nicely and haven't had any rubbing issues..yet, although the rear wheels might if I encounter a really big bump, keeping my fingers crossed

Here's another pic before the shave since this is a pic thread.
Yes thats the right sway bar.

Thanks for the confirmation. I crawled underneath the car today and saw the existing one(didn't even realize it had one already! I love Subaru!) Should be an easy swap.

Thanks again!

Ok so here are some actually good pictures of my Impreza finally. No significant mods yet other than factory fogs and upgraded stereo. Planning on rallyarmor mudflaps, roof rail deflector, and maybe some darker (and larger) gunmetal wheels at some point. That subtle solutions lift kit is also very appealing.

Havent seen anyone lower it either. That has been asked before to no avail, maybe its too early for people to heavily mod their warranteed cars.

Or most of the early buyers actually want the ground clearance for snow...

Or the fact that I scrape the bottom of my front bumper quite often, leading me to want more ground clearance than less...My old 02' Impreza Outback Sport had better clearance than my '12 Impreza, but I like the handling of the '12 way better.

Nice, can't go wrong with silver. Throw some tint on there, makes a world of difference on the the look

I think it is fuel efficient for an AWD car. If your priority is fuel efficiency and you can do without the AWD, look elsewhere. I have 14,000 miles on my 2012 limited hatch. I love my car but I think Subaru inflated the mpg numbers a little.

I average 27 MPG

I don't drive TOO aggressively unless defensive driving calls for it. I commute 40 miles per day 5 days a week - all highway and get between 370-400 miles per tank. I put my ski racks on and now average about 350-370 miles per tank due to drag, but I hate swapping the racks on/off, so I leave them on 3-4 months out of the year and eat the mileage.

EDIT: Transmission - CVT on 2012 Impreza Premium

I average 33.

I don't drive aggressively unless I'm doing an event or cruise with fellow Subie drivers. I commute 24 miles per day 6 days a week, mix of highway and city. I'm driving a 2012 Impreza base model 5-door.

Averaging 27 mpg in a 2012 base hatch 5 speed. You really need a feather foot and an avg speed of 55 mph to achive great numbers. A sixth gear would be nice.

MPG sounds low. I have the sport with factory rack with 7,000 miles. I drive about 40 miles a day on back roads and get 33mpg in summer and about 30 in winter. I'm averaging 31.5 mpg right now. My highway driving is actually less because I'm doing 75mph.

Translation: post pics of cars now

My friend's '12 red sedan next to my 5-door at a local Subaru meet.

At the dealership just after a bath.
