we're too fat to fit in the maloo. And not enough Muricans can drive manual in this generation, it hurts my feelings . BUT, I'd buy one, no doubt. GM can market the maloo as the new El Camino

They actually had a concept for it called the Pontiac G8 ST, which was the maloo. I heard by 2015 they might try it again under the Chevrolet Brand

I was referring to the volunteer worker @ wcss14 not knowing what make subaru it was.

No where was a service work brought up.

Oh, I've been asked what V8 was sitting in my "rocket" at a Wawa a couple years ago, when I battery jumped a 2008ish Chevrolet Impala, he couldn't believe I had a 4-cylinder despite the very low 13 second 1/4 mile time (sea level), he was very confused.

Got a comment from a young boy a few years ago
'Is it a diesel?'
His dad owned a Kia Sedona which has a bonnet scoop as it's a turbo diesel.

My gf told me the other day "your car would be missing something without that noise" referring to my exhaust. Boxer rumble FTW!

Mom: I think your engine isnt gonna last long. Ever since you put that exhaust on there. It feels like the car is really fast now. And since the engine is always reving up, its gonna decrease the lifespan..

Me: lol!

Female Friend: I hate riding in your car! It feels like a roller coaster ride!

My Boss: My SCI-EE (Scion TC) looks more like a man's car than the SOOO-BEE (he drags out the soo part).

That thing looks like a Mazda 3. I hear that a lot quite actually. 2009 WRX wagon.

All this Australia talk reminded me of something that happened a few days back.

Girl: Those aussies sure know how to make a fast car!!
Me: Uhmm.. It's actually Japanese..
Girl: If they aren't Austalian then why is there an Australian flag on the front emblem?
Me: Huh?

I can see how someone can mistake the Subaru stars for the Australian flag but COME ON!

Just remember this other time when one of my dad's friends was looking at my car talking to me about it.

Him: You should get one of those racing clutches that hisses everytime you shift.
Me: Oh you mean a blow-off valve? They make the engine run worse, so I won't.
Him: No, I'm pretty sure it's a different design of racing clutch that hisses.
Me: NO. I KNOW that it's in no way connected to the drive line. What you are thinking of is a valve that releases the excess boost pressure to the atmosphere when you let off the gas, resulting in the PSSHH sound you are speaking of.
Him: Nope, it's the clutch. I have been watching rally racing for years.
Me: Alright..

This is from my friend, if I was there this kid would have gotten an ear full:

Professor at Mich. Tech.: " If you needed to buy a new car and your choices were a Saturn or a Porsche which.... ( gets cut off by dumb*ss)."

Idiot: "Neither, they're both foreign!"

This is why I hate living in Flint, MI, GM capital of the world, this happens all the time. If your going to argue about cars educate yourself first please!

well.. it technically CAN be done... not sure why you'd bother, unless your looking for absurd torque and ZERO lag across your entire RPM range (assuming it's tuned correctly, and still using the Turbo)... it's what the old rally cars used to run.

and you've got $20+ G's lying around you wanna play with...
