Default New here AND with a new Tribeca..

Hello everyone..

I am new to this forum, as I could not find many..
But anyways, I am picking up my B9 Tribeca on Wednesday/Thursday
of this week.. It took alot for me to decide on this..
I am turning in my lease on my Audi A4 and I wanted something that
drove just as nice, but in a SUV and I got to tell ya,
the Tribeca drives like a dream..
So, I have a 7 Passenger LTD w/DVD (No Navigation.. This took
me days to decide on, but I am happy with my decision)
In Black with Beige Interior..
I used to detail cars professionally, So I plan to give it a
show car polishing on Saturday.. Black always comes out so
nice when it is detailed correctly..

Anyways, looking forward to joining the Subaru community..
My Wife did last year, she got a 06' Forester LL Bean..

Too bad you passed on Nav. I absolutely love mine! I would say you could always add it later, but Subaru was a bit idiotic on this one and made that not a possibility.

Welcome aboard! I just got my Tribeca last week, and ask anyone on this board, I would've been the first one to own one if money wasn't an issue at the time!

Now, I did not say I was "Passing" on the Nav, It just took me a long time to decide on it..
I am actually getting a TomTom Go 510 Navigation system for the car. It has FAR more options than the Subaru (Although the Subaru blends nicely and is cool looking) But the TomTom is also mounts very well in the Tribeca and it's features outweigh the Subaru Nav.. Plus it saved me over $1500..
More features.. Less money.. Not as visually cool.. Hmm.. Tough.

Welcome!

Also not to jump on the nav bandwagon (but I guess I am), I was also thinking about not getting it and I'm very happy I ended up doing so. I was recently out on some forest service roads on the Oregon coast having some fun, and was able to find some alternate routes I never thought it would be as useful as it is.

+1 for the Black.. I love it, all except right now as it needs a good detailing like you mentioned

I understand the Nav thing quite a bit and if i read one more article about Nav, Nav review, etc.. Help me..
The one thing I really like about the TomTom is that it has built in traffic avoidence. It links up to the local traffic mgmt, and will re-route you or give you an alternate route BEFORE you are bumper to bumper..
Plus.. I like The $1500 back in my wallet..
