Rallycross on the 27th
Finally got the OK from the track. The calendar as posted is good to go. the next event is less than 2 weeks away on Apr 27th. We are going to have to start a bit later, at 10:00ish, as I have a major business meeting that morning.
Those wanting flyers, i will have one to pass around tomorrow. Expect an e-mail to go out tomorrow as well. any Q's post them here, or mail me [email protected] I have been out of town for the past few days, getting caught up on email tonight... Pass the word around, the more entrants, the cheaper it will get!!! cross post it everywhere you think it should be (other boards that is). I am WAY swamped with work so may not have the time to hit all the boards I usually do...

At Canyon Offroad Park about 20-min north of Phoenix. Here are directions. (You may have to translate them a little if you're coming from Vegas.) See the Rallycross USA web site for details and registration.
Hope to see you there. -Bud |

BTW Bill: Where there be on-line registration? The only thing I saw on the web site was a PDF of the Texas region registration form. (I mean 'come on... whatta' ya' doing with all your spare time?)

Can we expect the same smooth dirt as the last one at Canyon?
My car and I could handle a course like that, but anything like the Speedworld one last year or the rally-x at the PFR last year and I will have to pass. I had sent you an email a couple of days ago Bill with some q's as well. Just a heads up. Regards, Aaron http://www.AzScooby.com http://www.ScoobyMods.com |

I've got a meeting in Phoenix at noon. Will I be able to get any seat time and still get to my meeting? Also, what's the track like? TIA |

Sounds good Bill. I think this one will have a larger turnout.
Bud, don't forget my helmet Do you want to sell me that thing, since I borrow it every event? Dusty Wagon-the course was smooth last time and had times averaging about 32 Seconds. It was short and had a good variety of turns with some switchbacks in the last section. I think bill amy be making the course longer this time too. Anyone coming from Vegas- As you come down through Wickenburg, you'll head east on the carefree highway (74) and exit at 99th ave. The rest of the details are in buds link. Ron |

Here's some pics and videos from last time, they give a good indication of what the track is like. Pretty smooth, it just got a little loose by the end of the day. Whee!

Actually, I'd like to hold on to it until I replace it with a new one. When I do, you can have it. Until then, you're always welcome to borrow it. Quote:

Dusty, when is your meeting over? We will be out there all day. I can't guarantee anything as far as seat time. We teched at 9 and started at 10:15 last time, if we tech at 10, i don't think we can start untill 11:00. Let me do some checking around with my morning meeting. I might be able to bump up to 930 and I might be a few mins late, and start at 10:00 to get you in and out... I'll post back here tonight with the scoop...
The flyer will be done tonight, when I figure out changes in start times... Aaron, same dirt, same spot. Haven't been able to lenthen the course yet, but expect to this week (HOPE HOPE HOPE HOPE!!!!) Got your e-mail, will respond tonight. No problemo from what I read this AM, will read it when i am more awake. Might bring extra and make some dosh for the club.... COP doesn't have any food open that early... Jeddy, can't follow link. I can post them on rallycrossusa.com as well if you send them to me.. I can set up ftp for you if it is easier... Thanks for all the support. I have been WAY busy lately, trying to get a new business off the ground (shameless plug - www.azartistic.com) as my job is going away soon.. |

Hehe, i fixed the link, i pasted in the one with the local machine name, not the ip. Oops. =\
COP rallyX pics Off to sign up now! Bill, if you want those pics, i can send em, but hosting them over mt DSL works ok, if i remember to send out the right link. The videos are another story. I've got a ton of space, but if more than 2 or 3 people on high bandwidth connections start grabbing them, things slow down. ;] Last edited by jeddy; 04-16-2002 at 07:42 PM. |

Since Bill gave me the go ahead, does anyone want to have a BBQ at the Rally-X? Those of you who remember the first Rally-X at speedworld last year, remember what a success the BBQ was.
I will be bringing the AzScooby tents and banners and as many chairs as I can fit in the Impreza. Anyone interested? This new sight Bill has arranged is great for the casual Rally-X. It is smooth enough so you aren't scared about breaking your car the whole time, but still a ton of fun to get slideways. Lets start the planning. That's a bummer. You still going to check it out if your car isn't working?
