LIGHTS-A-RAMA!
First off, everyone will agree that the stock OEM headlights and foglights SUCK @$$!!! The headlights shoot downwards and the fogs are only good for the first 5ft. NO GOOD WHATSOEVER!!!
So this is what I did: 1. Installed an additional set of Dual spot/driving light in the center of my air dam. Then I took out the stock 55watt bulb and replaced all 4 bulbs with 100 watts hyper white H3. When I turn both on, I get 400watts screaming to the car in front of me. I tilted it up a little and angled it off to the sides a little. 2. I replace the OEM fog with 3" Cuzo foglights. Again I replaced the 55 watts bulb with 100watts. I even angled it more to the sides and tiled slightly up to give me more then 180 degrees view. I changed my parking lights to hyper whites and switched the wires around so that the higher wattage stays on...this elinates the use of my turn signal, but thats okay...I got sidemarks to cover my 9, 12 & 3. So now the bottom auxilary lights are the brightest! Making my headlights look yellowish, non-hyper white... 3. I converted my 9007 to Philips H.I.D. kit. Very easy to install...bad thing is it eliminates the high beam, so while it was being installed I was a little discouraged. They had to figure out which wire was ground and which wire was for the low beam...THAT'S IT!!!...Take out the 9007 bulb, replace it with the H.I.D. bulb, solder two wires to each of the ballast, mount the ballast, and attach the cord from the ballast to the bulb...DONE...when I started my car I turned it on and from the reflection of the store window< I saw the blue arche ignite...getting brighter and brighter turning from harsh blue to bright white!!! WHOOOHOOO!!! Then I turned the rest of my lights on and guess what... The H.I.D. were definetly the brightest!!! Driving at night was like driving in day...NO JOKE!!! People high beam me here and there then I turn on my fogs and spot/driving lights !!! My next step, save up to get PIAA's new Extreme series H3 and parking light bulb...the H3 were like $40 ea., so if I were to upgrade my auxilary lighting it would cost me $240...WOW!!! But my car will definetly be brighter!!! CRAZY KEN |

Naturally Aspirated
Well I have asked the people in the forum lots of ?'s and I get some awesome advice:
There's Power...and then there's more power!!! For starters: Do the simple bolt-ons 1. Cool Air Intake System a. www.Cobbtuning.com (but you are going to have to wait until they release our years kit!!!) ...that's what I'm waiting for (a true cold air intake), but at the rate it's going I might as well make my own using their design. b. www.Rallispec.com ($$$ , but I don't like the fact that it's not a true Cold Air Intake) c. www.weapon-r.com (probably the best bang for the buck...especially the new Dragon filter ram air kit...if you can't wait for the Cobb or make your own go for weapon-r Dragon Filter!!!) NOTE: I have the original weapon-r F1 carbon fiber 2. Exhaust a. Stromung- www.cobbtuning.com (stainless steel rear section only...no mid-pipe for Legacys) NOTE: I currently have the aluminum rear section only! b. www.Rallispec.com - $$$ and you would have to drive there!!! c. www.jcsportsinc.com - N1 is staimless steel with a 4" tip ...NICE!!! d. Brullen - ask GTBGUY, he's from Canada...sweet exhaust, the company makes exhaust systems for BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, etc. ... good name, stainless steel, custom made: 1a. I got 2.25" piping, with resonator (you can remove it, but GTBGUY said it would be REALLY loud!!!), 3.5" polished tip (you have a choice of 3", 3.5" & 4"), and the stainless steel piping is coated in black for extra protection and it doesnt give that flashy appearance of those polished exhaust system found on Hondas, Acuras, Mitsu, ect...Clean and sweet!!! e. Headers - There is only one brand that I have found that has stainless steel headers...Borla...www.cobbtuning.com has the cheapest!!! NOTE: I already have these, but am waiting for the Brullen to come in! 3. Ignition System a. www.msdignition.com - DIS-2 NOTE: This is what I have! b. Crane c. Accel 1a. Magnecor Wires 2b. Nology Wires 3c. Direct Hit Wires a1. NGK spark plugs b2. Denso Irdium spark plugs c3. Bosch spark plugs 4. Pulley System from Unorthodox Racing 5. Lubrication: Upgrade to Synthetic (Amsoil, Red Line, Motul, Royal Purple, etc.) ...i.e. oil, transmission, brake, radiator, differentials ...you can start out with those and when you have them in give me another email!!! PEACE, CRAZY KEN P.S. But I dought you are as CRAZY as me!!! |

Two very simple and In My Opinion the two most logical. CAI (cold air intake) I went the Ganzflow bc I have the MAP vs MAF. Second new rear sway bar. I am waiting on Ralispec to UPS my Whiteline 18-22mm Adj. (C'mon UPS!)
With these 2 mods you get some increase in HP and better handling. Also using these as your first steps will not hamper any thing elese you do in the futre, umm that is unless you go turbo, then the CAI gets thrown out. After that most here would recomend being able to turn fast and stop fast before you worry too much about actually going fast. KYB adj struts with Whiteline springs and then Stainless steel brake lines with new pads. Good Luck TIm |
