1997 Legacy GT Wagon

Default FS: MD - 1997 Legacy GT wagon

SOLD

I bought my wagon 2.5 years ago with 55k miles. Here are the specs/stats:

Mileage: 90K
Color: Red
Mechanical Condition: Excellent
Body Condition: Good
Transmission: Auto

Major services performed since ownership:
  • replaced timing and accessory belts
  • replaced water pump
  • replaced rear main seal
  • replaced both front wheel bearings
  • replaced all brake pads and rotors
  • replaced valve cover gaskets
  • replaced plugs and wires
  • new battery

List of upgrades
Suspension/Brakes:
  • KYB GR2 shocks
  • KYB strut tops
  • STi GT springs (bought from Japanparts.com)
  • Whiteline swaybar endlinks (KLC19/KLC20A)
  • 18mm rear swaybar
  • Kumho ECSTA ASX 205/55ZR-16 tires

Engine/Tranny:
  • GFB lightened crank pulley
  • Green air filter
  • Rallitek hardened AT mount
  • STi engine mounts
  • Whiteline steering rack bushings

Exhaust:
  • SPT axleback
  • Stromung midpipe w/ resonator

Misc:
  • 6-speaker JVC KD-HDR1 HD Radio/CD Receiver + Sirius SIR-JVC1 Satellite Radio + JVC KS-U58 Input Adapter to Stereo Mini Plug for portable MP3 players
  • retractable cargo cover
  • two rear tether anchors for child seats
  • 35% tint on rear windows
  • Yakima roof mounted bike rack
  • keyless entry

Car is in excellent running condition and the interior is very clean and I'm a non-smoker. This is my daily commuter car and has never been off-road. The original owner was an elderly woman who put very few miles on the car. The second owner who I bought the car is a law professor at Georgetown and was a friend of the original owner. She provided me with all her service records so I know the car was taken care of when I bought it.

I have most if not all receipts for the major services performed. I completed the 90k service in March and emissions this past December. I get the car serviced at Japanese Auto Care in Arlington, VA and at Fitzgerald Subaru. I have most receipts for the parts.

Paint is in excellent shape despite its age, but with the usual minor paint chips and dings. The only glaring blemishes are scrapes on the front bumper on the driver-side corner and on the rear bumper on the passenger side corner. I bought the car with these minor cosmetic issues and did not cause them myself.

I can send more pics as requested.

How fast does it go ?

Does it have an electronic speed limiter in the ECU that kicks in at 112 MPH ?

No idea. I don't drive past 70 since I'm in rush hour traffic most of the time. I did bury the needle in my old 99 RS back in the day...

Just got the wheels balanced on a Hunter GSP9700 Road Force Measurement® System at Olney Goodyear. Also upgraded the headlight plugs to handle higher wattage bulbs (Hella H4 80W/100W).

Slapped on new front rotors over the weekend. I started to feel some vibration under braking probably caused by uneven deposits. Hate it when I don't bed on the pads correctly.
