Nice anybody have auto start on there cars curious on how well they work for Subaru I had a person back in New Mexico at a car and audio shop tell me it's not possible for the WRX and that they would have to rig it up and take one of my keys for it to work. No to me that don't sound right and he was pretty shady . Looking to see what people have and what's the best with security.

A very basic model from Northstart from a Groupon early this year. I think it's Aerostar AS-1272? http://www.northstart.net/ I didn't care to have something more expensive that was integrated into the pre-existing Start/Stop remote features. Plus my BRZ will always be within a few hundred feet of me, either at home or at work.
It'll be my first autostart for one of my cars. So happy! |

Built a voltage divider circuit for my MAF. A lot of the cobra/lightning guys use the same thing, except in the form of the diablosport Mafia.
Mine was 3 bucks and 30 minutes (including tune adjustment) instead of like $150 . 5 volts is now ~4.7V... now I can bump past 20psi! |

You get 2 resistors (or one and a potentiometer if you want adjustability). In my case I got a 220 ohm resistor and a 10k ohm resistor (1/2w). You can use ohms law to find the ratio you need to multiply all the voltages in your MAF table by. In my case I ended up multiplying by ~.88 or ~.89 I forget. So: Tap into the MAF ground wire with the 10k ohm wire. Leave the other end for now. Take the 220ohm and put it inline with the wire that the ECU sees (cut the wire and hook each end to each side of the resistor). Take the other end of the 10k ohm and put it on the ECU side of the 220 ohm resistor. I can upload a diagram later. Then you just adjust the MaF voltage in the tune and call it good. It works because the MAF wire can read over 5V but Ecu is capped at 5, and the resolution is hardly affected if at all since the resistors reduce voltage EVERYWHERE, and you can utilize voltages lower than like 1.2. |

Sort of, You may not need to get too hog-wild crazy.
I had a 5.6k ohm in place of the new 10k ohm before, and after scaling the MAF to where my AFRs were good the 5V end of the scale turned out to be like 550g/sec which is unnecessary in most cases. The 10k ohm worked great for me, but you would go smaller on that resistor OR bigger on the smaller "inline" resistor. My MAF is in blow through mode in a 3'' OD pipe right before the throttle body if you want to get a comparison idea |

All thanks to Chano for selflessly donating his old bumper and time to help me spray it. I also finally installed my LED Fogs I've been sitting on for some time, turned out more blue than I wanted, was hoping for white to match my HIDs but oh well. It's tempting to get yellow over-lays now but I don't want them to end up green. And a mock up before hand just for giggles: |

Peter La Fleur: Probably not. Patches O'Houlihan: No, but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste. Peter La Fleur: ...Okay. [while everyone is doing the shuttle run] Patches O'Houlihan: Come on! I get better runs in my shorts!] (left that in strictly for humor) |
