Here are a few shots of my car. Not the best as you can see (more to come):

Am I the first '00+ Outback with an altitude adjustment?

Don't know why the link in my 1st post didn't work but this will give you an idea of the Whiteline "control" drop until I can take some better shots later.

Default Got the second one...

Yeah it was just IE at the office...still can't see the 'Lancaster' one though. Getting a "this page cannot be viewed" message.

We bought the Outback for my wife, then she decided that the turb A4 Avant was more to her liking so I got the Sub!

The front struts are tired, but it handles great! I got 5 hours of high speed highway time in today...very nice!

It looks good but...

Why didn't you go for a GT or Legacy SE instead of an Outback? It's a shame to undo all of the offroad worthiness that the car comes with stock.

To each his own.

2.5HO,
I wanted to trade the car I had for a WRX. The wife felt a slightly larger vehicle (wagon) would be better suited to the family we were starting! My car got traded for the low mileage 2000 Outback, and then she decided that she wanted it!

Fast forward to me driving her 2.slow liter Jetta....again, I pushed for a WRX. Again, she pushed for a previously owned, low mileage vehicle (to save $$$).

Enter the A4 Avant with 1.8T. I'm thinking: strong aftermarket, turbo already in place (no need to worry about her noticing additional parts under the hood after I start upgrading).

You guessed it...she took the A4!!!

So with 4 years to ponder my next vehicle, I decided to make the Outback drive the way I like a car to drive. I will never take the car "offroad", so it's "worthiness" is a non issue.

I know all too well about that "kid thing"... You've got to have more room to haul all of that crap around.

Sounds like you got shafted twice on the car thing... Since you're wife's driving that Audi, you should make sure she's the one that pays for the repairs when it breaks... She'll wish she kept the Outback then.

Your car probably handles very well with it lowered too.
