I'm in the same boat. Just e-mailed the dealer yesterday to get an estimate, hoping for anything but "July". Waiting for the standard, "still showing July" reply . Called SOA last week, same answer. 13 WRB Hatch Limited, ordered 03/19. I'm sure there are more of us that will be here till the end. I check this thread every time I log in just to remind myself it will be worth it, and to see the excitement of the recent grads. The mind can't help but wander though. Found a 08 OBXT Manual that is looking awfully appealing...Wait for the 13 or grab the OBXT and wait for the 15/16 re-design? No wonder my dealer doesn't reply

Yeah the dealer I was talking to said they cannot swap a WRX trunk onto an STI for "insurance reasons".

This guy is telling me 10 week delivery time for a 2013 STI order - in you guys experience, how accurate is this? I'm assuming it's probably an optimistic estimate but wondering what kind of wait times you guys are seeing.

It may be accurate if you ordered after the cutoff and they already had one on the way. I'm on week 13, probably another 3-4 to go :-(

So, you guys can't probably help me too much with this one but right now I'm having a hard time deciding on whether to order a 2013 sight unseen or to wait until augustish for the 2014s to come out. Wondering how much of a deal they would make for me on the 2013? I asked them that but haven't heard back yet (dealing with them over email despite their repeated requests for me to go into the dealership - I despise sales people). Other pending decision is DGM vs. SWP (considered the dark blue color but it looked like **** in person when I saw it) - the DGM looks better wingless than the SWP I think... SWP looks better with the wing but I am definitely swapping the trunk out for wingless first thing.

Augustish is probably very very very best case scenario for a '14. They'll be the same body style, so I'm not really following. Are you emailing about one on the lot? One they already have allocated? Straight orders are done.

If the car is already at the dealer just go look at it when they're closed. There are plenty of threads with prices on cars. Generally, invoice is good, under invoice is great. I ordered DGM so I'm biased. It's your car, pick the color you like.

I'll have to think of a few spots that would be good.

No they are talking about ordering a 2013 - it sounds like a brand new order to me. THey have none on their lot (I don't think anybody has any that I can find)

Answering my own question about whether they'd give me a deal on a 2013:

Quote:
You are correct. The 9 split spoke BBS wheel package comes standard on the STI limited sedan as well as leather trim and power moon roof. The MSRP of that car is $38,415. We can order it for you for our discount price of $36,559.
WHat do you guys think? Also, I am considering adding on the SPT exhaust... wondeirng whether I cna convince them to throw that in for the same 36.5 price.

There's a DGM limited on a lot in NH :-)

For price, check Truecar and the 2013 price thread.

Edit: also, if it's a new order, it's for a '14

I loose interior illumination and body side moldings, and gain weather mats. Fair trade for getting my car ahead of time.

For sure. IMO, body side molding breaks up the lines of the car :-p

Lmao I see so many idiot ask that. And congrats on the new transit time mang! If its the same body style and color and all that's awesome. I can tell you the moldings suck, they do in fact draw attention away from the rest of the car IMO. And the footwell illumination? Thank god you didn't get, I put that on aftermarket on my 06 STi back when I was 18 and thought it was dope, but it's seriously so annoying after awhile. You did good on the all weather mats, I have them in my new one and their trapping all the water and mud/ grass so far from shoe debris.
